Tara is the best pet sitter we have found! She's attentive and caring and our pets love her. She's so patient with the pets if they are a bit shy at first but they ultimately fall in love with her quickly. She goes above and beyond for us, and we couldn't be more thankful that we found her. 10/10 highly recommend!

To Whom It May Concern: I am very pleased to recommend my daughter, Tara, as a pet sitter and dog walker with Rover. As her father, I have had the opportunity to watch Tara interact with and care for animals throughout her entire life, and her genuine love for them has been a constant from the time she was a baby through today. Animals have quite literally always been part of Tara’s life. When she was an infant, she had a cat named TC — short for “Tara’s Cat” — who was her companion until she was seven years old. As she grew up, our family was rarely without animals in the house. Her sisters and our family had several other cats over the years, including Tyga, Yossarian, and Cheddar, all domestic shorthairs, and Anastasia, a domestic longhair. Tara therefore grew up continually surrounded by cats with different personalities, temperaments, and care needs. Dogs were just as much a part of our family. Tara grew up with a beautiful yellow Labrador Retriever named Kayla Bell, who was part of her life until Tara was 17. Our family also had Zaphod, a Silky Terrier; Tosca, a Whippet/Italian Greyhound mix; and Damascus, a giant Mastiff. From a small terrier and slender sighthound mix to a truly giant dog, Tara became comfortable around dogs of dramatically different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels from an early age. Tara’s love of animals wasn’t limited to cats and dogs. She later had a Dumbo rat named Squeaky, affectionately named after her grandfather. She loved and cared for Squeaky so much that she inspired her brother to get a Dumbo rat of his own, Bacardi. As an adult, Tara continued surrounding herself with animals. She had a German Shepherd named Duke for six years, and she has had her German Shepherd Rocky since 2022. In early 2026, River, her Blue Heeler, became part of her family as well. Tara absolutely adores her dogs, and the care and affection she gives them make it very clear that animals aren’t simply pets to her — they are members of her family. Having spent her entire life around animals of different species, breeds, sizes, ages, personalities, and temperaments, Tara understands that every animal is an individual with its own needs. Her experience ranges from cats and small companion animals to small dogs, highly active breeds, German Shepherds, and giant breeds. She is patient, attentive, responsible, and compassionate, and she genuinely cares about an animal’s comfort, happiness, safety, and well-being. As her father, I can say without hesitation that I would trust Tara completely with the care of an animal. More importantly, I would be comfortable entrusting a beloved pet to her even if she weren’t my daughter. I know she would treat someone else’s animal with the same kindness, affection, attention, and respect that she has always shown her own. Whether she is walking a dog, caring for a cat, feeding and looking after a pet, providing companionship, or simply making sure an animal feels safe and loved while its family is away, I believe Tara would be an exceptional caregiver. Her love for animals isn’t something she recently developed because she is applying to Rover.
