Hello, My name is Tara! I am a customer service representative and dancer on the side, and I'm also a huge animal lover! I’ve always grown up surrounded by so many pets which makes me so compassionate towards every fur baby; I have a sense for dogs especially. I had a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer/Terrier for almost 10 years who has passed on December of 2021. He was my life. Now I vicariously live through the fur babies I get to spend time with and spoil my favourite little frenchie niece! My favourite thing to do is go out and find new and exciting spots to hike on beautiful Vancouver Island. I've pet sat for a lot of family and friends when they’ve gone out of town. I couldn’t imagine my life not being surrounded by furry friends and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family!

Tara is absolutely fantastic! She was exceedingly communicative, flexible, and kind. She very clearly cares about the pets she is looking after and does whatever she can to make sure they are comfortable with her. We have a very energetic and excitable puppy, and she did fabulous with him. So grateful for her care. Highly recommend!

My dogs really love Tara they were well cared for and were calm and happy on our return.
Tara is now family!!! This was our first time using ROVER and leaving our babies, so we were very nervous. Tara immediately set our. minds at ease. She came over twice prior to our leaving to meet and play with our two Frenchies. Our girls fell in love with Tara immediately. Tara gave us daily updates including pictures which I looked forward to every day. We came home to a spotless house and two well taken care of fur babies. I think there were sad Tara was gone. I highly recommend Tara and will be using her the next time we have to leave and are unable to take our fur babies with us.
If you need a wonderful reliable dog sitter, it’s Tara! We needed a dog sitter in short notice and we got very vey lucky. We had never met Tara before and after talking with her we knew she could be trusted with our house and our dog. The minute Tara got in the house she sat down and welcomed our dog into her lap. Our dog is a rescue and very timid. She does not like change. Tara easily won her over with her very calm aura and scratches in our dogs favourite places. Tara sent pics of Bella and we saw our dog was right at ease. It also made us feel better about leaving her. Tara is very reliable, followed routines and asked questions. The house was left spotless and she had even done her bedding laundry. We can’t say enough kind words about Tara. We highly recommend her and would definitely get her again. Tara is a gem!!

I live in a safe neighbourhood and place right off Long Lake. I will make sure your fur baby is safe and feels loved and cared for.
A typical day
Linley Valley off Rock City Road has alot of different beautiful mossy forested trails leading all over Nanaimo. We usually would go there, as it's close and accessible to my place. But, I am also aware of many other forest or ocean walks across the city that we will also get to explore. The options are limitless.
