Tara can care for
Availability
In recent years I’ve looked after friends’ and family’s dogs while they’ve been away, making sure they’re fed, walked, played with and properly cared for. I absolutely love going on long walks, so having a four-legged pal to join me is always a joy.

I’m a naturally caring person and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, happy and like they’re having their own little holiday too.
Information Tara D. would like to know about your pet
Every pet is unique, so it’s really helpful to know any special needs, routines, or behaviours before I meet them. Whether it’s a favourite game, a certain way they like to be approached, dietary requirements etc. – I’m happy to follow your guidance.
A typical day
A typical day with me usually involves plenty of fresh air and exploring. I’m a big fan of being outdoors. I have a National Trust membership, so if your dog enjoys adventures we can head to a nearby NT property for new sights, new smells and a good wander. I’m just as happy walking anywhere local too (parks, fields, quiet neighbourhoods), wherever your pet feels comfortable. There’s always time for play as well. I’m more than happy to throw a tennis ball (even if I have to negotiate to get it back!), play with toys, or just spend time giving attention and fuss. I keep things relaxed, fun, and matched to your pet’s personality and energy level, so they get a day that feels stimulating, comforting, and enjoyable.

Pet care experience
I grew up with a big, silly Irish Red Setter who was truly part of the family. He set the bar for how fun, gentle and full of personality dogs can be and we still laugh about his antics today.

Reviews

Tara's a fantastic dog sitter, reliable and has great communication. My dog loves her and I never have to worry when he is with her. Thanks Tara!

Tara's a fantastic dog sitter, super reliable and has superb communication. I couldn't ask for more from a dog sitter! Thank you!

Tara was absolutely wonderful, she was responsive throughout and very helpful. She did a wonderful job of looking after Shadow and keeping us updated, we came home to a very happy cat and a very well looked after home! I could not recommend Tara enough :)

Tara looked after our 2 dogs Holly and Lulu in our home whilst we were away for a long weekend in March 2026. She visited our home to meet the dogs prior to the house sit and we were impressed with the way she interacted with them. The dogs were well looked after and our home was left clean and tidy. We would not hesitate to recommend Tara and we hope to be able to use her services again in the very near future.
