Compassionate Care You Can Trust!

With over 15 years of extensive experience caring for a wide range of pets—including dogs, fish, and various other animals—I'm committed to providing the highest level of care for your beloved companions. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of looking after both family and friends' pets, as well as my own, and I fully understand how important your pets are to you. As a dedicated pet owner myself, I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own family. I recognize that leaving your pet behind can be stressful, so I provide consistent updates and photos to ensure you feel confident and reassured while you're away. I have a personal dog, Arya, that accompanies me on all my pet care visits—she’s friendly, gentle, and always excited to meet a new buddy! Your pup will have a built-in playmate and never feel lonely while you're away. I am always happy to arrange a meet and greet before to ensure all dogs and humans are a good fit! Additionally, I offer personalized enrichment activities designed to keep your pet mentally stimulated and engaged, promoting both their well-being and comfort. Whether it’s through interactive toys or custom-tailored playtime, I’m here to create a balanced and enjoyable experience for your pet. I understand that each pet has unique needs, and I am happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to discuss how I can best accommodate your specific requirements. Rest assured, I will go above and beyond to make sure your pet’s care is professional, compassionate, and stress-free. Let me provide you with peace of mind knowing your pet is in experienced and loving hands.

Safety, trust & environment

Bend is full of beautiful outdoor spaces that are perfect for dogs to explore and enjoy. I regularly take pups on enriching sniff walks through scenic areas like Drake Park, Pilot Butte, and along the Deschutes River Trail—each offering a variety of sights, smells, and safe walking paths to keep your dog engaged and happy. If your pup enjoys more freedom and social time, I also frequent secure, fenced-in areas such as the Bob Wenger Memorial Off-Leash Area at Pine Nursery Park and the Big Sky Dog Park. These spots are great for off-leash play, running, and making new furry friends in a controlled environment. Whether your dog prefers a calm stroll through the neighborhood, a nature walk, or active play at the park, I’ll tailor each outing to fit their energy level, temperament, and routine. I offer flexible services including: Private or group walks Drop-in visits (feeding, potty breaks, playtime) Off-leash park trips (with your permission) Puppy socialization outings Customized enrichment activities Just let me know what suits your dog’s needs and your lifestyle best—I'm happy to work around your schedule and preferences to provide the best care possible!

Tara came to our rescue when our regular sitter fell through at the last minute. We were overjoyed after the meet & greet to have someone local that clearly “gets dogs”. Plan to book with her in the future, and are so grateful for the daily updates and photos. Thanks Tara and Leo/Khali look forward to walks with you again soon!

My pups were very well taken care of and seemed to enjoy themselves. I loved that she sent me photos and videos of my dogs. Will book again.

Tara did a great job with my senior pup. She was happy and calm when I got home. Tara was flexible and helped out when my flight back to the area was delayed.

We got lucky that Tara was available at the last minute before a long holiday weekend. Our Chloe, who is normally a bit aloof, was instant pals with Tara's Arya and warmed to Tara very quickly. It was wonderful to be able to leave Chloe in her own home under Tara's care. Everything went just perfectly.

Every dog is unique, and I’m committed to providing care that reflects your pup’s individual needs and personality. If your dog has any special requirements, sensitivities, or preferences—whether physical, behavioral, or medical—please don’t hesitate to let me know. The more I understand about your dog, the better I can care for them. Here are just a few examples of accommodations I can provide: Senior dog support, including slower walks, mobility assistance, and extra potty breaks Puppy care, with potty training reinforcement, short play sessions, and safe socialization Medication administration (oral or topical) and feeding routines Anxiety management, such as avoiding overstimulating environments, maintaining calming routines, or using comfort items from home Special dietary needs, feeding instructions, or treat preferences Reactivity considerations, including avoiding certain triggers or using alternate walking routes Sensory impairments, like working with deaf or visually impaired dogs Crate routines, rest periods, and any house rules you’d like me to follow I also welcome any details about your dog’s personality, such as: Are they shy or outgoing with new people and dogs? Do they have any favorite toys or games? Are there commands or training cues you'd like me to reinforce? Do they have quirks I should be aware of—like fear of loud noises, car rides, or certain surfaces? My goal is always to create a safe, positive, and stress-free experience that aligns with your dog’s home routine and your expectations. Open communication is key, so please share anything that will help me give your pup the best possible care!
