Dog care fits naturally into my daily routine as I work from home full-time and manage my own diary, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attention, companionship, walks, and toilet breaks throughout the day. My partner works away regularly, so it’s usually just me and my friendly Cavapoo, Rosie, at home. Rosie loves having canine company and enjoys playing in our secure garden as well as exploring the many lovely local walks nearby. This means your dog will never be left alone and will be treated as part of our family during their stay

Information Tara C. would like to know about your pet

Before your dog’s stay, I’d love to learn as much as possible about them so I can provide the best care and help them feel at home. Please let me know about their usual routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any commands they respond to. It’s also helpful to know about their temperament around other dogs, any anxieties or behaviours I should be aware of, medical conditions, allergies, medications, or anything else that helps me keep them safe, happy, and comfortable. The more information you can provide, the better I can tailor their stay to their individual needs.

A typical day

A typical day starts with a morning toilet break and walk, followed by breakfast and plenty of time to relax, play, and explore the garden. As I work from home, dogs have company throughout the day and can enjoy regular toilet breaks, playtime, cuddles, and attention whenever they need it. Depending on your dog’s age, energy levels, and routine, we’ll head out for another walk during the day and spend time playing in the secure garden with Rosie. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a final walk or garden playtime before settling down to relax. I always try to follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and at home during their stay.

Pet care experience

I’m a proud dog mum to Rosie, my friendly 3-year-old Cavapoo, who loves the company of other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I regularly care for dogs in my home and understand how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment while owners are away. I have a spacious three-bedroom home with a secure, fully fenced garden, as well as plenty of beautiful local walks nearby to keep your dog happy, active, and well cared for. Your dog will be treated as part of the family and receive lots of attention, affection, and exercise during their stay. Dogs are allowed on all furniture and we have no children in our home. It tends to just be myself at home as my partner works offshore.

Tara, did a wonderful job looking after Charlie! From the moment we met you, we felt completely at ease, and it was clear he was in loving and capable hands. We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and messages while we were away. It was good to know Charlie was happy and having such a great time. He came home relaxed, content, and clearly very well looked after. Will definitely be booking again!

Tara has been amazing looking after our puppy Rory. She is so lovely and clearly cares a lot about dogs. She totally put me at ease with leaving him and I felt like nothing was too much trouble for her. Her dog Rosie is also so lovely and brilliant company for Rory. I would recommend Tara to anyone looking for someone to take care of their dog. It is amazing to find someone I trust to look after Rory and have already booked in his next trip!

I have known Tara for years and can honestly say she is one of the most caring, trustworthy and responsible people I know. She has a genuine love for animals and always puts their wellbeing first. Any pet in Tara’s care would be treated with kindness, patience and affection, just like one of her own. I would have complete confidence leaving my pets with her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet caregiver.

Tara is the best dog mum to Rosie. Those two are always together. Rosie is completely spoiled with love (as she should be!) and it’s pretty obvious she’s Tara’s whole world. They’re the cutest little duo
