Vet Tech 🩺 and lover of animals ✨

🐾 Experienced. Compassionate. Individualized Care. I developed a strong foundation in canine handling from an early age and have continued building my experience through years of caring for pets in their own homes. From maintaining daily routines to helping pets feel comfortable while their owners are away, I understand how important consistency and familiarity can be. ❤️ 🩺 Veterinary Experience Today, I continue expanding my knowledge and hands-on experience as a veterinary technician. My background includes working with animals of all sizes — from small companion pets to large livestock — giving me the confidence to care for pets with different personalities, routines, and medical needs. 🏡 Your Pet, Their Routine I believe every pet deserves care tailored specifically to them. That’s why I encourage meet-and-greets before any solo care begins. This gives your pet the chance to become familiar with me while allowing us to go over their routine, preferences, medications, quirks, and any special needs. 🐶 Who Provides Your Pet’s Care? Tara provides all primary pet sitting, overnight care, and walks. On the rare occasion that my veterinary schedule prevents me from arriving exactly when planned, Brittany may assist with a potty break or check-in so your pet’s routine stays on track. 🌡️ Safety Comes First Your pet’s health and safety are always our top priority. During extreme heat, severe weather, or otherwise unsafe outdoor conditions, outdoor time may be shortened or adjusted to keep your pet comfortable and protected. 💊 Medical & Advanced Pet Sitting For pets who need additional support — including seniors, mobility assistance, or time-sensitive medication administration — medical pet sitting services are available. These visits require additional training, monitoring, and attention and are priced separately to reflect the specialized level of care provided. 🛡️ Extra Peace of Mind I carry my own professional pet sitting and dog walking insurance providing an additional layer of protection for both your pet and your home during every visit. ❤️ At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to give your pets safe, reliable, loving care while giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

🐾 Understanding Your Pet’s Needs Every pet is unique, and their care should be too. During our meet-and-greet, I take the time to learn about your pet’s personality, routines, preferences, and anything that may cause fear, stress, or discomfort. ❤️ My goal is to keep your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away. 🐶 Respecting Your Pet’s Boundaries I believe in setting pets up for success by respecting their individual boundaries. I will never intentionally place your pet in a situation that could cause fear, anxiety, or unnecessary stress. --- ⚠️ Reactive Dog Policy I have experience working with reactive dogs through both my veterinary career and personal training experience. However, for the safety of everyone involved, I do not accept pet sitting requests for dogs with known aggression or significant reactivity toward people or other animals. 🦮 Reactive behavior requires consistency, specialized handling, and an established relationship between the dog and their handler. Even when a dog responds well to their owner, those same behaviors, commands, and training cues may not automatically transfer to a new caregiver. 🛡️ For this reason, dogs with significant behavioral concerns are best supported by qualified professionals who specialize in behavioral care. 📋 Please be completely honest and transparent about your dog’s behavior when requesting services. If undisclosed aggression or significant reactivity is observed during a booking and continuing care would create an unsafe situation, I reserve the right to immediately terminate services without refund. --- 🏡 Why Choose In-Home Pet Sitting? For many pets, there’s simply no place like home. Staying in their familiar environment allows them to maintain their normal routine while remaining surrounded by the sights, sounds, smells, and comforts they know best. ❤️ Compared to boarding facilities, in-home pet sitting can: 🐾 Reduce stress & separation anxiety 🍽️ Maintain regular feeding, exercise & medication schedules 🐕 Minimize exposure to unfamiliar animals and environments 🛏️ Allow your pet to sleep comfortably in their own home ❤️ Provide personalized, one-on-one attention and care ✨ My goal is to make your time away feel as routine as possible for your pet — giving you peace of mind knowing they’re safe, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best.

House Sitting • Jun 28, 2026

Tara was absolutely amazing with my senior dog, Albert. He has several medical conditions, including patellar luxation, anxiety, and ongoing eye issues that require medication, so finding someone I trust is incredibly important. As a veterinary technician, Tara immediately put me at ease with her knowledge and professionalism. Throughout the evening she sent frequent updates and photos, asked thoughtful questions about his care, and never made assumptions. I especially appreciated that she asked whether Albert could safely get off the bed himself or if she should lift him because of his patellar luxation. She also administered his eye medication, kept me updated during a thunderstorm, and even put on calming music to help him relax. The next morning, Tara checked in to make sure Albert was doing well after we got home, which really showed how much she cares. She treated him like he was her own, and I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in her care. I highly recommend Tara, especially if your pet has medical needs or needs someone who will go above and beyond.

Thank you for taking such incredible care of my puppers. I don’t trust too many people to watch my dogs however I feel safe while you guys walk and let them out. I love that you treat them as if they were your own and that is huge for me. You guys are responsible, loving, caring, careful, and mindful during your time with them. I can’t thank you enough and am forever grateful to have found you on here.

Dog Walking • Dec 24, 2021

Tara and Brittany were friendly and I could easily tell they were dog lovers. This was just 1 walk but they were on time and it seemed to go well. I will look to Tara & Brittany next time I need assistance with my dog. Possibly for an overnight.

Schedule

📅 Scheduling & Availability To provide complete transparency, I work full-time as a veterinary technician Monday–Friday, typically from either 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. During these hours, I will generally be away from your home unless other arrangements have been made. 🌙 Weekday Overnight Care — $100/Night My standard weekday overnight rate is $100 per night while I maintain my regular veterinary work schedule. 🏡 Need 24/7 Care? If your pet requires me to remain home throughout the day rather than leaving for work, this is considered Constant Care and is available for an additional fee. This rate reflects the additional time commitment and missed work hours required to provide uninterrupted companionship. 🐾 Midday Visits If your pet needs a midday potty break, feeding, medication, or check-in while I’m at work, I’m happy to discuss available options. Additional visits or customized care may include an additional fee depending on your pet’s needs. 🐶 Weekend, Holiday & Puppy Care — $150/Night Overnight care on weekends, holidays, and for puppies under 6 months is $150 per night. These bookings require additional availability and may involve more frequent potty breaks, playtime, feeding, supervision, or other scheduling accommodations. 📲 Don’t See Your Date Available? If the online calendar shows that I’m unavailable for a specific date or service, please still reach out! Whenever possible, I’m happy to see if I can adjust my schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. ❤️ 🐕 Every booking is approached with your pet’s routine, safety, and individual needs in mind.

🐾 Special Needs & Handling Considerations Every dog is different, and I want to make sure I’m fully prepared to provide the safest and most comfortable care possible. 💬 If your dog has special needs, mobility concerns, anxiety, fears, or behaviors that may be challenging, please let me know ahead of time. The more I know before our first interaction, the better I can prepare and set your dog up for success. ⚠️ Reactivity Must Be Disclosed If your dog is reactive toward people or other dogs, this MUST be disclosed before any interaction. This information is important for everyone’s safety and allows us to determine the best way to approach the meet-and-greet and future care. 🐕 No Breed Restrictions I don’t have a breed preference or restriction. However, at 5'2" and 125 lbs, I want to make sure I’m physically comfortable and confident handling your dog, particularly if they are large, strong, or require additional physical assistance. ❤️ Most importantly, I want your dog to feel safe and comfortable with me, while ensuring I can confidently provide the level of care they need.
