Availability
Scheduling & Availability To provide complete transparency, I work full-time as a veterinary technician Monday through Thursday from either 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. During these hours, I will be away from your home unless otherwise arranged. My standard overnight pet sitting rate is $100 per night on weekdays while I maintain my regular work schedule. If your pet requires 24/7 companionship and you would like me to remain home throughout the day without leaving for work, this is considered a constant care service and is available for an additional fee due to the time commitment and lost work hours. If your pet needs a midday potty break, feeding, medication, or check-in while I’m at work, I’m happy to discuss available options. Additional visits or customized care may incur an additional fee depending on your pet’s needs. Weekend, holiday, and puppy (under 6 months) overnight care is $150 per night. These bookings require additional availability and often involve more frequent care, playtime, potty breaks, or scheduling accommodations. If the online calendar shows I’m unavailable for a specific date or service, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Whenever possible, I’m happy to see if I can adjust my schedule to accommodate your request.

Understanding Your Pet’s Needs Every pet is unique, which is why I take the time during our meet-and-greet to learn about your pet’s personality, routines, preferences, and any situations that may cause stress or discomfort. My goal is to provide care that keeps your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I believe in setting pets up for success by respecting their individual boundaries. I will never intentionally place your pet in a situation that may trigger fear, anxiety, or unnecessary stress. Reactive Dog Policy While I have experience working with reactive dogs through both my veterinary career and personal training experience, I do not accept pet sitting requests for dogs with known aggression or significant reactivity toward people or other animals. Reactive behavior requires consistency, specialized handling, and an established relationship between the dog and handler. Even if your dog responds well to you, those same behaviors and training cues may not transfer to a new caregiver. For the safety of your pet, myself, and the public, these cases are best managed by qualified professionals who specialize in behavioral care. Please be honest and transparent about your dog’s behavior when requesting services. If undisclosed aggression or significant reactivity is observed during the booking, I reserve the right to immediately terminate services without refund if continuing care would create an unsafe situation. Why Choose In-Home Pet Sitting? For many pets, there’s simply no place like home. Staying in their familiar environment helps maintain their normal routine, reduces stress, and allows them to remain surrounded by the sights, sounds, and comforts they know best. Compared to boarding facilities, in-home pet sitting can: * Reduce stress and separation anxiety. * Maintain your pet’s regular feeding, exercise, and medication schedule. * Minimize exposure to unfamiliar animals and environments. * Allow your pet to sleep comfortably in their own home. * Provide personalized, one-on-one care and attention throughout your time away. My goal is to make your absence feel as routine as possible, giving both you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away.
Information Tara & Brittany W. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any special needs or has any undesired behaviors, those are things I'd want to know ahead of time. If your dog is dog or people reactive, this is a MUST know prior to interaction. I don't have a breed preference but I am 5'2 and 125lbs so I want to make sure I'm comfortable handling your dog and your dog is comfortable with me
A typical day
A dogs mental wellbeing is just as important as physical. While your pet is in my care, they’ll get plenty of play time with their favorite toy(s) and go on walks if that’s their normal routine. I do not go to dog parks while taking care of your pet due to the increase risk of fights and/or infectious outbreaks.

Pet care experience
I developed a strong foundation in canine handling from an early age. Over the years, I’ve also provided in-home care for pets while their owners were away, giving me experience with maintaining routines and ensuring pets feel comfortable in their own environment. Today, I continue to expand that experience through working as a veterinary technician. My background includes handling animals ranging from small companion pets to large livestock, allowing me to confidently care for pets with a variety of personalities, needs, and medical considerations. Every pet is treated as an individual. I believe trust is built before the first visit, which is why I encourage meet-and-greets prior to any solo care. This allows your pet to become familiar with me while giving us the opportunity to discuss routines, preferences, medications, and any special needs to help ensure a smooth, stress-free experience. I (Tara) provide all primary pet sitting, overnight care, and walks. On the rare occasion that my veterinary schedule prevents me from arriving exactly when planned, Brittany may assist with a potty break or check-in to ensure your pet’s routine is not interrupted. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always our highest priority. During periods of extreme heat, severe weather, or unsafe outdoor conditions, time spent outside may be adjusted to protect your pet’s health and comfort. For pets requiring advanced care, including seniors, mobility assistance, or time-sensitive medication administration, medical pet sitting services are available. These visits require additional training, attention, and monitoring and are priced separately to reflect the level of care provided. For additional peace of mind, I carry my own professional pet sitting and dog walking insurance, providing an extra layer of protection for both your pet and your home throughout every visit.
Reviews

Tara was absolutely amazing with my senior dog, Albert. He has several medical conditions, including patellar luxation, anxiety, and ongoing eye issues that require medication, so finding someone I trust is incredibly important. As a veterinary technician, Tara immediately put me at ease with her knowledge and professionalism. Throughout the evening she sent frequent updates and photos, asked thoughtful questions about his care, and never made assumptions. I especially appreciated that she asked whether Albert could safely get off the bed himself or if she should lift him because of his patellar luxation. She also administered his eye medication, kept me updated during a thunderstorm, and even put on calming music to help him relax. The next morning, Tara checked in to make sure Albert was doing well after we got home, which really showed how much she cares. She treated him like he was her own, and I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in her care. I highly recommend Tara, especially if your pet has medical needs or needs someone who will go above and beyond.

Tara is amazing! She took such good care of our 2 dachshunds and our house while we were away. She followed their schedule and sent us daily updates with pictures. Our dogs absolutely loved her! Highly recommend! Thanks Brooke!

Tara is INCREDIBLE! She is extremely attentive to my pups’ needs as well as tending to unfortunate events with things that occur in my apt lol. I appreciate her so much; literally an angel. Thank you

Thank you for taking such incredible care of my puppers. I don’t trust too many people to watch my dogs however I feel safe while you guys walk and let them out. I love that you treat them as if they were your own and that is huge for me. You guys are responsible, loving, caring, careful, and mindful during your time with them. I can’t thank you enough and am forever grateful to have found you on here.
