Pet care experience

No Better Kid Than A Fur Kid

I have had pets my entire life which range from dogs, cats, birds, fish, horses, reptiles and rodents. I am certified in Pet First Aid Care and also Pet CPR certified through the Red Cross. I volunteer with Operation Kindness in my spare time. I am a huge animal lover and will treat your pet just like they were one of my own. All of my pets are well loved and cared and are spoiled rotten and even have their own room in our house which we call the "Dawg House" We have a monthly subscription to Bark Box and have lots of toys to keep everyone entertained and a pool for those hot summer days if they want to cool off. I have a list of references I can provide you with of repeat clients you are welcome to contact and visit with about my qualifications in caring for their pets over the years. Our back yard consists of two fenced areas and plenty of room for them to roam and play. We have a dedicated room in our home that has been set up just for the dogs that we call the "Dawg House" where they can go and hang out and relax if they want. We also have a covered patio that overlooks our pool area. All time spent outside in the pool area is supervised. I can spend quality time with your pet and devote the attention they need while you’re busy or away. If you have an energetic dog like I do, it’s important to give them plenty of exercise so they don’t get bored. If you have other pets, I am happy to take care of them as well. I also provide transportation services and can pick up or drop off for boarding if you are limited on time and are unable to squeeze it in to your schedule, just select that option when you are scheduling your booking (fees apply). I will send pictures throughout the stay or drop-in visit so you don't have to worry or stress that your pets are being taken care of. I would love the opportunity to take care of your pets for you and look forward to hearing from you soon. OTHER IMPORTANT INFO DROP IN VISITS FOR CATS-I do drop in visits for cats as first visits of my daily schedule unless your cat requires more than one visit per day or needs medication to be given at a specific time of the day then I will do the check in per the time you request. DOG BOARDING--You and your pet(s) are welcome to come by prior to the start of the stay and see my home, but it's not required to book with me as I do not introduce my dogs to potential boarding guests at the meet & greet. I have a slow introduction process I do with dogs I board after they arrive which makes things flow much smoother for all involved. I will keep you updated throughout your pets stay with photos and daily communication. I also require all dogs be FULLY HOUSE TRAINED IF BOARDING WITH ME. ALL DOGS MUST BE UP TO DATE ON THEIR VACCINATIONS (a current copy of their vaccination record will be required upon arrival for boarding). I have everything available for your pet to use while they stay with me (bedding, bowls, toys, treats and crates, if they use a crate) so you don't need to bring any of those items with you when you drop your pet off for their stay, the only thing they will need is their food, leash/harness. If they have a special blanket, toy or dietary treats you are welcome to send those with them for camp. Please remember to send enough food with your pet for their entire stay. If they run out of food while they are with me, I will pick up additional food for them and reimbursement can be made when you pick your pet up at the end of the stay. IMPORTANT INFO—effective 6-1-2019 BOARDING TIMES—When you drop your pet off your boarding the time begins. Each day of boarding is for a 24-hour time period. For example, if drop off at 3 pm your boarding time starts, and it ends at 3 pm the day you’re scheduled to return. If you will be past the designated end time of your boarding, please let me know so additional time can be added to your booking (fees apply). I do allow a 2-hour window due to travel delays. Anything over the 2-hour delay will be charged a day care fee of $25.00 DOG WALKS--effective 6-1-2023--Unfortunately, I am no longer able to provide any dog walking services due to an ongoing medical condition with my knee. This is my full-time job, so I have the ability to set my schedule that works for you and your pet, and you have the ability to customize services that meet your needs. I have worked with numerous breeds of dogs, large and small with various temperaments as well as other animals.

A typical day

We have the ability to play in the back yard and we have a pool if your pup likes to take a dip and cool off. I’m also near a dog park and can take your pooch to meet some new friends if that’s something they like to do. There is a preserve with walking trails where I live which makes it nice to get back to nature and take some strolls around the area.

What type of temperament does your pet have? Have they ever bitten anyone? Do they get along well with dogs and cats? Are they food or toy aggressive? Are there any restrictions for treats? Do they try to run out the door when it's opened? Are they house trained? Do they need medication administered? Do they sleep in a crate? Do they have any special dietary needs?
