From belly rubs to long walks
I’ve been surrounded by pets since childhood, so caring for animals is second nature to me. I love long dog walks and live right across from Basing Woods — the perfect place for safe, fun adventures and plenty of exercise. Whether it’s lively puppies who need extra play and training, or senior dogs who require gentle, patient care, I adapt to each dog’s unique needs. I also hold an enhanced DBS check, giving you peace of mind that your pets are in safe and trustworthy hands. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own — with love, care, and lots of tail wags.

Sadly, disappointed with this experience. At pickup I was told my dog had been toileting repeatedly in the house, including on furniture, which was unexpected as he is fully house-trained and has stayed with sitters before without any issues. Over a 3-day stay I only received two photos and no meaningful updates, which left me without any visibility on how my dog was doing; What concerns me most is that I was not informed at any point DURING the stay about these problems, so I had no opportunity to advise, check in, or consider veterinary input if needed. I was only told only at collection. At the end a future, already booked stay was cancelled last minute (1.5 week in advance), and curiously rates increased £5 per day. Overall, communication was not what I would expect when leaving a dog in someone’s care. I wouldn’t feel confident using this service again due to the lack of updates and late reporting of issues.
Tara was wonderful - we received frequent updates and pictures throughout the week and Barney thoroughly enjoyed his stay.
Clyde had a lovely time with Tara and her family. Being very spoiled with lovely walks and lots of attention from Tara’s daughter and son, making him feel very at home. I would highly recommend Tara to look after your dog as I know they will have a great time and be well looked after xx

Schedule
I enjoy being outdoors and going for long walks daily, so including dogs in my routine feels effortless — especially with Basing Woods right across from my home, offering a safe and stimulating environment.

I have a secure, enclosed garden with a 6-foot fence — perfect for safe playtime outdoors — as well as stair gates inside to keep pets safe and comfortable. Walks in Basing Woods are part of our routine, along with plenty of love, attention, and play. I always stick to each pet’s feeding and exercise schedule, so they settle in quickly and feel right at home.
A typical day
When your dog stays with us, they’ll enjoy plenty of playtime, walks tailored to their energy level, and engaging activities like puzzle toys and scent games. Of course, there’s also time for belly rubs, snuggles, and relaxation. We personalize every activity to your dogs needs so they feel safe, loved, and completely at home.
