I bring over 30 years of animal experience to the table. Growing up, my home was always filled with pets—giving me hands-on experience caring for not just dogs, but cats, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, and reptiles! For the past 10 years, I have managed my own unique, dog-loving household. I am a proud parent of a chocolate lab mix with an autoimmune disorder and a French bulldog with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). Life with these diseases can be challenging, but because of my pets' medical needs, I maintain a routine, low-stress, calm environment and have specialized experience with safety, mobility care, and medical limitations. I manage complex routines, including timely feedings with medications, frequent lifting and carrying of my Frenchie using appropriate techniques, and walks with a specialized stroller so both of my dogs can enjoy outdoor time safely together. My hope is that my boys always feel safe, loved, and cared for and I hope to ensure the same for your fur children. Whether your pet is high-energy or requires a quiet, fragile care routine, I will be their biggest advocate. I am also incredibly comfortable providing drop-in care for cats! If your cat prefers a calm, quiet presence, I am an expert at respecting their boundaries while ensuring they are fed, their litter is pristine, and they get plenty of affection.

Medication & Routine Precision: I am completely comfortable administering oral medications and following strict veterinary care plans precisely. For your peace of mind, you will receive updates and photos after every visit.

Tanya is the most patient and compassionate person when it comes to animals. She cares for every animal as if it were her own. She takes such good care of our special needs dog, who can only be taken on walks in a stroller, and our lab mix, who has an autoimmune disorder and has to be as stress free as possible to avoid flare-ups. She is very responsible, loving, and reliable and she will go above and beyond to provide the best care for your pets.
Tanya is a kind and caring pet lover who cares for pets as though they are her children. Her own two dogs are the light of her world, she takes time to play with them, walk them regularly and love on them continuously. When I unexpectedly had a puppy stay with me, she immediately jumped into help. She assisted in feeding, walks, playing with him, and helping to create a manageable schedule me for me. Tanya is the first person I call on when I need someone to take care of my cats. She feeds them regularly but also takes the time to play with them and give them the attention they need while I’m not around. I would highly recommend Tanya as a pet carer.

Schedule
I’m a local elementary school teacher, and when I'm not in the classroom or traveling and hiking, my heart belongs to my two high needs fur children. I have a passion for teaching children, loving animals, and advocating for those who are unable to advocate for themselves. As an educator, safety, patience, communication, and keeping a strict routine are second nature to me. My Availability: Because of my school schedule, my availability is highly reliable and structured: Weekdays: Available for afternoon and evening walks or drop-in visits. Weekends: Full, flexible availability throughout the day. I look forward to meeting your furry family members and giving them the extra love and specialized care they deserve!
