Pet care experience

Family fun for your furry friends 😁

I've always loved working with animals, my first job was at an animal sanctuary. And I have worked at 2 different kennels over the years. I grew up with dogs, cats and horses and feel that my family is not complete without an animal around 🙂 I have always offered to look after friends and family pets.

Tanya has looked after Otis (our mini sausage) many many times and I can honestly say she treats him as one of her own, which is exactly what I want when I’m leaving my baby with someone! Otis clearly loves being with Tanya and her family, which is the biggest sign ever that she’s doing everything right. Super reliable, friendly, attentive and caring - highly recommended!

Schedule

I am a work-from-home mum with 3 young boys (6,4 and baby). My own dog comes everywhere with me, he's got a big pen in the boot of the car but if your dog prefers to stay at home for the school runs then they would have a cosy sofa to curl up on ☺️ Or can be in the big pen in the living room if they prefer.

Safety, trust & environment

I have my own big fur baby, Ru, a Shepski x Dutch herder. I love being out as much as possible and enjoy all the beautiful countryside I have around me. Ru needs at least 2 good walks a day and I have an enclosed woodland directly outside our back gate for extra play breaks. Very often though I am out in the woods or at the park the majority of the day. I have an extra large create if anyone needs some alone time too.

Pets

A typical day

First thing in the morning I go out into the woodland at the back of our house for a walk. Then after breakfast I walk the kids to school with the dogs and carry on for a big walk. After lunch I go out for another big (about an hour) walk, so either the woods or the park. Sometimes in the car or sometimes straight from the house. At school pick up I leave Ru in his car pen as I've got to go into the school then. And after dinner we go out behind our house again.

Let me know if your dog has any special requirements. I'm experienced at giving medication and have a good understanding of basic dog first aid (I don't have a certificate though)
