Super thoughtful and considerate while staying in my home, and patient with my anxious dog. Truly a great experience having them watch my dog for the weekend.

Tanya & Igor were incredible guardians for Peri & Houdini while we were away for five days. They were easy to communicate with, provided thoughtful updates throughout our trip, and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our pups were in such great hands. They treated our home with the same level of care as if it were their own and even went above and beyond by leaving everything spotless before they departed. It’s easy to see why they have such outstanding reviews. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tanya & Igor to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring pet sitters. We will absolutely be booking them again in the future, and I highly recommend that you do too!

Tanya & Igor cancelled a booking within a day of the start date.

Writing a negative review isn’t fun, but here goes. We went on a weeklong vacation with our family last week. We hired a friend to house/dog sit but she couldn’t quite cover the entire time we were gone so we turned to Rover to fill the gap and get someone to watch the house and dogs on the last night. Tanya was available and seemed a good fit. I got the impression that it was both Tanya and her boyfriend, which was a bit of a red flag, but I figured it would be ok. They came briefly to meet the dogs the Friday before we left. They seemed nice and dog friendly. I walked them through the house and showed them the routine. Pros: 1) They were responsive when we reached out and seemed nice. 2) They seemed to enjoy the dogs 3) They left the house pretty clean (bed was stripped and dishes clean) Cons: 1) They asked for an additional $20 to come meet the dogs and get the details on the house before we left since they were “coming from the city”. Again, a red flag, but I agreed. 2) There was a large stain on the upstairs rug where they had sprayed an enzyme cleaner in an attempt to clean up a dog accident. The cleaner made the dye in the rug run leaving a large stain. Full disclosure I never told them how to handle an accident or warn them about the dye in the rug, but they had to manage the dogs for literally less than 24 hours and they weren’t able to prevent an accident or cleanup properly. They also never mentioned this to us and we were left having to try and remove the cleaner from the rug. 3) …and this was the doozie. The house reeked of weed when we returned. We were shocked and had to literally open all the windows to air it out. I confronted Tanya about this via text and she assured me they were not “smoking inside”. There were ashes on the deck which made me think that was true but I was amazed at how much weed one would have to smoke OUTSIDE for the house to smell that pungent INSIDE! We were left with an unsettled feeling that these two had taken the assignment of watching our dogs and house pretty lightly. Overall it was very disappointing and unsettling. I can’t, in good faith, recommend these two. They did not leave me with any confidence in their capabilities or decision making.
