Experienced Care with Lots of Love
I grew up taking care of animals, inclusive of dogs, cats and goats. I have an affinity with animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. In particular, dogs mean a great deal to me and because I do not have children, dogs have become the object of my love and care and have given that back to me. I have rescued a great deal of domestic and wild animals (raccoons, opossums and a number of birds). I regularly volunteer at the Quinte Humane Society as well. My most recent sits have included large properties in Prince Edward County and Marysville and surrounding areas, with both small dogs, large dogs and multiple pets. I have also taken care of an 80 acre goat farm in Owen Sound for three weeks, taking care of the house and grounds as well. I can also take care of your plants inside and out, garbage and recycling, and am open to other duties that can be discussed at the time of a meet and greet. I always have a meet and greet at least 2 weeks (whenever possible) before my sit, so you can feel comfortable with me, my two little dogs that come with me, and your pets can feel comfortable too! I am a traveler as well and know how important it is to leave one's pet in exceptional care when one is away. I will not only show love and affection to your pet; but as a teacher I value the safety, care and protection of other people's cherished possessions. I have two years experience dog walking, including rescue dogs, as well. Your dogs will be cared for and loved in your own home or in mine, if that is something you choose. I do have two small, (under 6 pounds) female Morkies who will be in my home or coming with me, so your pet will need to be okay in the company of two well behaved, but fun loving dogs. RATE BREAKDOWN: HOUSE/PET SITTING (in your home): $75/24 HOURS for 1st pet $25/24 HOURS for any additional pet PET BOARDING: $65/24 HOURS for 1st pet $35/24 HOURS for any additional pet PET DAYCARE: $50/8 HOURS (Times are flexible - Mon - Fri Only)

Would recommend Tanya in a heart beat. We have a senior dog with some health issues and Tanya looked after him so well. Sent photos and updates on how he was doing. Made a big difference so that we were able to enjoy our cruise with no worries.

This is our first time using Rover and the services of Tanya C. and we could not be more satisfied. The care of our 3 dogs was the paramount concern in retaining any person and Tanya proved to be an excellent choice. We received videos and pictures each day and we could tell they were well looked after. This helped make our vacation even more stress free. Also, she left the house immaculate and all we had to do when getting home was snuggle with the pups! We would highly recommend Tanya and she will be first on our house sitter list on our next major trip.
We are so happy we got to meet Tanya, who stayed with our very bouncy 10 month old Bearded Collie for a week. She kept our pooch happy, busy and loved while we were away, keeping us up to date daily on all the games, snuggles and chilling she did with him - she even brushed him which he usually hates. Tanya brought her own two well behaved pups with her, and we know Finn was sad to say goodbye to them all once we got back. Tanya is also a wonderful house sitter. and took beautiful care of our house and garden while we were away. We couldn't have asked for a more reliable, responsible and attentive care giver, and won't hesitate to ask her for her services again in the future. Thank you Tanya!

Schedule
I am retired I am very flexible in terms of hours/length of time that I can spend with your pet(s) and in your home. I am home often during the evenings and weekends, working on my latest novel and will, like your pet, need breaks to walk, exercise and play with them.

A typical day
I am retired so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets inside and out of your home! I have a fenced-in yard which is safe for all animals to roam and play in, in safety. I am also extremely active and love to take walks (and run) so your pet will be sure to get exercise if that is something you would like. I also enjoy just snuggling up with dogs and reading a book so your dog will also get lots of attention.
