With over 25 years of experience caring for cats, I understand that every cat has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. My goal is to make sure your cat feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away in the comfort of their own home. I’m also a lifelong cat lover and proud rescue mom to four rescue cats of my own. For the past 15 years, I’ve been actively involved in cat rescue. This includes independently doing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in my community, socializing feral and fearful cats, working with numerous local rescues, and helping find safe, loving placements for cats in need. I’m especially comfortable caring for senior cats and very shy or fearful cats. I understand that some cats need extra patience and time before they feel comfortable with a new person. I never force interaction. I let each cat set the pace and work to earn their trust. I’m also comfortable administering medications to cats, following your instructions carefully and making sure your cat receives the care they need while you’re away. 🐱 What Your Drop-In Visit Includes During each visit, I will make sure your cat’s needs are completely taken care of, including: ● 🥣 Fresh food and daily feeding according to your cat’s routine ● 💧 Fresh water every day ● 🧹 Daily litter box cleaning ● 💊 Medication administration, when required ● 🧼 Cleaning up after your cat and keeping their area tidy ● ❤️ Attention, affection and companionship, according to your cat’s personality ● 📸 Photos and updates from every visit, so you can see your furry family member is happy and doing well ● 👀 A general check-in on your cat, making sure they appear comfortable and that everything is as it should be Whether your cat is affectionate and social, independent, elderly, nervous, or hiding under the bed, I have experience meeting them where they are. After more than two decades of caring for cats — and 15 years of helping cats who needed someone to advocate for them — I know how important it is to leave your beloved pet with someone you can trust. You can go away knowing your cat is receiving experienced, compassionate and personalized care in the comfort of their own home. 🐾❤️
Safety, trust & environment
Your cat’s safety is my top priority! During every visit, I make sure doors and windows are secure and your cat stays safely inside the home. Even if outdoor time is part of their usual routine, I will not allow them outside while you’re away. Better safe than sorry is my motto!

Tanya has been looking after my cat for a number of years. Ginger just loves her and gets excited to see her and even takes her medication! Truly a trustworthy and reliable person.
I would absolutely recommend Tanya for any petsitting needs you may require. She’s excellent. I have known Tanya for many years and have used her cat sitting services over and over again. She has always provided stellar care of my furry family members when I’ve had to be away from home. She is a very compassionate person and has extensive knowledge of cats. She easily anticipates their needs and provides the attention they require to feel safe and loved. Tanya has a big heart and has been rescuing feral cats for years. She’s worked with vets and rescue personnel to assure they are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, in good health and has helped in finding them their forever homes.
I have known Tanya for over 20 years, and honestly, I have never met anyone who loves and cares for cats more than she does. Tanya has always gone above and beyond for cats — even risking being sprayed by skunks to rescue stray cats, and constantly trying to find the perfect home for them. I know this firsthand because I was lucky enough to become the “foster mom” to two beautiful brother-and-sister rescue cats that Tanya insisted could never be separated. When she brought them to my house, she arrived with absolutely everything a cat could possibly need. I’m pretty sure she secretly knew that once we met them, there was no way we would ever give them back. Three years later, they are still thriving and completely spoiled, thanks in large part to Tanya’s incredible attention to detail and her determination to make sure every cat ends up in the right home. So when Tanya told me she wanted to become a cat sitter on Rover, my first thought was, “What took you so long?” She has always been busy rescuing cats and being an amazing mom, but now that her kids are older, I’m thrilled that she has more time to do something she is truly meant to do. If I needed someone to care for my cats, there is absolutely no one else I would trust more. Tanya is responsible, attentive, loving, and genuinely understands cats and their individual personalities and needs. If Rover had a rating higher than 5 stars, I would give it to Tanya without hesitation. You simply will not find someone who loves cats more than she does!
Tanya is an AMAZING pet sitter that truly cares about pets. She is very reliable and has a soft spot for ALL furry creatures. On top of being a cat owner herself, she fosters and participates in TNR programs. With Tanya, I can guarantee that your cats are in good hands.
Finding someone trustworthy to watch my 2 cats is hard, but Tanya made it stress-free. She was reliable, followed all feeding instructions, and spent extra time playing. One of my cats required medication and Tanya handled it with ease. The daily check-ins gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I currently work part-time, which gives me lots of availability for cat visits. I am happy to work around your schedule and your cat's routine.
