Pet care experience

Future MD, Current Dog Walker 🐾

I’m Tanner, a current medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin, living in Tosa right by campus. Thanks to my student schedule, I have great availability! I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting since I was 12. My family currently has five dogs, a cat, a bunny, a pufferfish, and a hamster—so I truly love animals of all kinds and have experience caring for a wide variety. I’m comfortable working with all types of dogs and animals, and I welcome all breeds and species I have extensive experience with senior dogs, having cared for four of my own, as well as with puppies—I’ve helped raise and train three! I’ve also volunteered at humane societies since I was a teenager, giving me valuable experience with animals who’ve had traumatic or unique pasts. I love the challenge and reward of working with them. I’m happy to provide dog walking references upon request, and I do require meet and greets before any bookings. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets!

Tanner was great! I loved the picture updates and my dogs were sound asleep for the rest of the afternoon after his visits!

Tanner is absolutely brilliant. He’s a very loving, caring person that made my doggo feel like the most spoiled baby while I was out of town. I don’t think the dog missed me once! Tanner was super flexible about sleeping over at my place to alleviate some anxiety for doggo, and he was communicative throughout my trip, sending me daily updates with pictures. I can’t recommend him enough, and doggo is already asking when I’m going out of town next so he can hang with his new buddy, Tanner!

Tanner has been fantastic with our dog Emu. Emu is a bit of a shy girl and Tanner has been very patient and kind with her. 100% recommend Tanner for prompt, responsible, and reliable pet care.

Schedule

Almost always free due to student schedule :) happy to help whenever you need as most of my classes are virtual. This will change in the future but at least until January 2026 my schedule is great for sitting + walking.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Tanner can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
Things I need to know about your animal is if they are dog/ car reactive on walks, their anxiety level, what medications they are on (if I’m giving them some) and logistics like if they go back in a crate or not. I walk any type of dog, no breed discrimination here!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
