Hi there! My name is Taniya and I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for the past 4 years for families in my neighborhood. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine I absolutely love dogs! I have a sweet pup of my own named Pepper. She’s a 2 year old toy poodle and Yorkie mix with a big personality in a small body! While she stays at home with my mom, I bring all that love and experience with me when I care for other fur babies. I treat every dog like they’re my own safe, happy, and loved. Whether it’s playtime, a walk, or just some cuddle time, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 🐾

Taniya is an outstanding pet owner, and would be a great asset to be a pet caregiver through Rover. Taniya owns a few pets, which she has been the primary caregiver for for years. Her experience of being a caregiver has allowed her to understand what dogs need and how to care for them. Taniya is very personable, engaging, and attentive. She works well with dogs and is able to keep them active as well as entertained. When I traveled out of state, Taniya offered to watch my dog for a week. Taniya sent me daily updates about my dog's behavior, meals, and sent me cute pictures as well! Taniya has been the only one who I have trusted to watch my dog. I am excited for the positive impact that she will make during her time being a pet caregiver!

Schedule
I currently work at Michigan State University, but my schedule is flexible, and I’m available Monday through Sunday for walks, drop-ins, and cuddles! If you’re located near MSU’s campus, you’re in luck there are so many beautiful trails and green spaces I can take your dog to for fun, safe, and enriching walks. I’m all about making sure your pet feels loved, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, some fresh air, or a long walk to burn off energy, I’m here to help. Can’t wait to meet your fur baby!

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality, and needs to make sure they feel at ease. In my client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely from feeding schedules and walk times to any special care needs. I always make sure pets feel loved, whether that means extra belly rubs, playtime, or simply keeping them company. If I’m caring for a pet in my own home, I make sure they have a cozy, safe space to relax. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment and offer plenty of attention, walks, and play throughout the day. No matter the setting, I treat every pet like family!

A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping your pet happy, active, and cared for! We’ll start with a morning walk to get some fresh air and stretch our legs especially Throughout the day, I make sure your pet stays on their usual routine with feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of playtime. If they love fetch, tug-of-war, or just belly rubs and snuggles, I’m all in! I also like to keep them mentally stimulated with enrichment games and calm downtime when needed. Every day is tailored to your pet’s personality and energy level. Whether they’re playful and adventurous or calm and cuddly, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained while you’re away.
