Will spoil your pup like I do mine!

Pet care experience

Daily walker/sitter with weekly regulars on and off Rover. 35, responsible, and love animals! Grew up with a Shar-Pei and now share my bed with three rescues: a timid Dachshund, a derpy Sheprador whose body is much older than his mind, and a sassy Chihuahua who’s convinced she’s my shadow. My Doxie would tell you that I'm incredibly patient, trustworthy and loving. He'd say that I'm great with timid dogs and that I have a knack for coaxing them out of their shells. My Sheprador would tell you that I'm super fun and playful and that I give good belly rubs. He'd say that I'm great with high-energy dogs that love playing fetch or going for longer walks. Of course, now that he’s almost 14 he’d also say that I’m very accommodating when it comes to picky eaters, pups who needs mobility support, and those struggling with bladder and/or bowel incontinence. As for my Chihuahua, she’d probably say that I’m a great snuggler and that I accept all pups and people for whoever they are (even if they are a dog named Bird who makes pig sounds all the time). And all three would be right. As a trained life coach, I approach dogs the way I approach humans: with curiosity and the desire to understand their individual wants and needs. Whether it's cuddles on the couch or a brain-stimulating training session, my goal is to make sure your pup gets what he or she needs in order to feel loved and cared for. Your dog isn't just another dog to me, and I won't be just another sitter :) Bonus: I’ve been working from home since before it was mandatory and have a very flexible schedule. My pups thoroughly appreciate this and I bet yours will too! Things you can expect from me: *Clear communication and punctuality *That I won’t cancel at the last minute unless I’m seriously ill or injured or something legitimately serious has occurred. *That if I feel sick, you’ll be made aware so that you can decide whether you’d rather have someone else come by instead. *That any pet messes that might occur before I arrive will be promptly cleaned up. (Because accidents happen and I don’t mind saving you the hassle). *That lockbox combinations will be mixed back up as soon as a key is retrieved and again once it’s returned. *That if something out of the ordinary happens while I’m there—like, say, a bird flies into your home through an open window—that I’ll immediately inform you and, to the best of my ability, handle it. (True story and the bird was safely escorted back outside). *That unless you’ve given me permission to do so, I won’t let other people or dogs approach your pup on our walks. *That any personal preferences and requests discussed upon booking or during our meet and greet will be met (ex. puppy paws wiped after walks, booties worn, other people/dogs not be allowed to approach us, etc).

While staying with us, your pup will have access to our back garden throughout the day (anytime we are home) as we keep the door open for our own two pups to enjoy the sun. They are also welcome to sleep on the floor in our room at night or, if they are crate trained, in their crate. If they have no food aggression issues, they will be fed in the dining room along with our littles (but we can also feed them separately if you prefer). They will be walked at least twice a day (in the morning and early evening), and we will happily play with them if they are into toys or balls as we love interactive pups! (We also love spontaneously serenading our own pups with pup-centered parodies of our favorite songs so we’ll likely be doing the same to yours 🙈🤣.)

Information Tania A. would like to know about your pet

How does your pup do with people coming into your home when you aren’t there? Meet and greets are a great opportunity for them to get to know me, but some pups will still be very protective of their space when you aren’t there with them. All that means is that we may need to game plan (e.g. having treats by the front door, leaving their harness on when you leave, scheduling an hour long walk if it will take me 20 minutes to get them to warm up to me, etc). Knowing how your dog will react helps me to plan so that I can make sure they get the time they need outside (even if they are a little skittish and take some coaxing to trust me at first.) Not sure how they’ll do? That’s okay! Just let me know and I’ll try to leave a substantial buffer between them and any subsequent clients I may have that day.

A typical day

Tell me where your pup usually enjoys walking and I’ll make sure their routine doesn’t get mixed up. Do they like busy streets with lots of dynamic movement? Done! More residential streets with plenty of flowers and trees to sniff? You got it! Do they have a favorite friend they like bumping into? I’ll keep an eye out so that they can say hello!
