I will provide trusted care to your pets in the comfort of your home in a environment they are custom too and more at ease. My goal whether working with our pets in the shelter or clients pets is to create a relaxing environment where they are happy and free from stress.

No Breed preferences. Is your dog Spayed or Neutered Is your dog reactive? If yes then to what, Other Dogs, Cats, Squirrels, etc Does your Dog pull on a leash? Are their and diet restrictions or special diet needs? Does your Dog take any medication? Are there any injuries or joint discomfort your Dog has while walking or limitations I should be aware of? Is there anything additionally you would like me to know about your dog?
A typical day
We can walk in your neighborhood or go to some parks or trails. I can provide mind and exercise enriching activities, games such as food puzzles, basic nose work, agility and skills. If there are certain behaviors you would like addressed I can assist with those as well while your pup is in my care and give you some tools to work on them. *I only use positive reinforcement training methods.

My goal is to make sure your dog is happy, comfortable and having a great time! Whether thats lounging on a couch together, playing fetch, going for a hike, fun enrichment activities or working on their skills. Together you and your dog will let me know what you both are seeking and I will custom my time spent with them to their needs and wants. Its all about the Dogs. I have lots to offer in forms of exercise and enrichment. I also work part time at our local Animal Shelter where I work specifically with the dogs caring for their daily needs and providing a variety of enrichment activities. I am also a Fear Free and CPDT-KA, SBA Dog Trainer and formally taught Obedience Classes at the Humane Society of West Michigan, where I specialized in Reactive Dogs. I only use positive and reward based training. Now I primarily focus on providing free training sessions to families with dogs in our community who face financial hardships through the pet outreach organization Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance.. I have my CPDT-KA, Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed certification from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. I also have my Fear Free Certification and am a member of the IAABC, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultents Shelter Division.

Tanelle truly loves dogs and is an amazing dog sitter! Just knowing that she is watching my furbabies gives me peace of mind when I have to go out of town. She really understands and adores dogs, is professional, friendly, trustworthy and goes the extra mile to make sure every dog she takes care of is happy. I have a 13-year-old sweet but semi-grumpy pit bull and a 3-year-old, energetic pit mix and she is able to accommodate both of their special needs.
