Our home is a place of warmth and love for each other and for our Golden Retriever fur-baby. Caring for her, playing with her, walking her, and training her are shared joys and responsibilities among family members. We live in a quiet neighborhood where dogs are welcomed and enjoyed. Ours is a puppy-friendly home, but we do not give animals free rein in it; therefore we do expect some level of voice-obedience from the dogs we host. We also will work with puppies who are almost but not quite house trained, but we must turn away paper-trained or untrained puppies from care in our home. Since school has reconvened, I am away from home for several hours in the afternoon on weekdays (I teach part-time) and must leave guest dogs unattended. (A kennel/crate is useful here.) Though our own dog is large, she is playful but gentle with dogs of all sizes and loves to have furry friends over to play!
