Doggy Daycare!
Having grown up with dogs all my life, but not being able to have my own dog whilst at university is very hard for me, and so being able to dog sit and help out other pet owners is something I would love to do! I am well accustomed to training dogs, handling older and larger dogs, and knowing what/ when they need something, as a result of having had 3 dogs (a beagle and 2 labradors) over the course of my life. I have also worked alongside a dog psychologist as well to train one of my dogs, making me knowledgable about various tricks and tactics to handle them. I have also volunteered at shelters, so know how to tend for a variety of different kinds of dogs, and would ensure they would be my first priority.

Schedule
As a student in university, my schedule is very fixed, and known well in advance, allowing me to provide pet owners with my availability readily. Since my university is only a 3 minute walk away from my house, I am able to spend a lot of time at home, both between, as well as after, classes.

I would care for pets by keeping them active as much as possible (either by taking them for walks, by doing enrichment activities with them, and/or playing games like fetch etc). I would, naturally, ensure they are comfortable and well fed/ looked after at all times, and not be subjected to spending time alone, especially if they are not used to that.
A typical day
I love going for long walks with pets to the neighbouring park (4 minute walk from my home). If owners are comfortable with it, I would be happy to have them off the leash to play with fetch etc with them, or even just walk around the large park. I also know many enriching activities that are meant to stimulate dogs!

- Please let me know if your dog is okay off the leash/ has good recall. Also let me their feeding times, whether they are good with other dogs (ie if they saw a dog in a park, would they lunge?) and anything else you think would be necessary for me to know!
