My workday follows a consistent routine, allowing me to provide dependable pet care before and after school, as well as on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. I enjoy spending my free time caring for animals by taking them on walks, engaging them in playtime, and making sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and companionship. During the summer and other school vacations, I have even greater flexibility to provide extended care, overnight stays, or multiple daily visits. Being a teacher has also strengthened my ability to stay calm, follow detailed instructions, and recognize individual needs, which helps me provide personalized care for every pet. I create a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where pets receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and supervision. I make sure they have access to fresh water, a safe space to rest, and opportunities for exercise and mental stimulation. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect your home as if it were my own. I keep the space clean, secure, and follow any household rules or instructions. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Please let me know about your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, favorite activities, energy level, personality, and any special needs. It’s also helpful to know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, fears, or behaviors such as anxiety, reactivity, or escape tendencies. If your pet has any specific commands, house rules, or preferences, I’m happy to follow them to keep their routine consistent. I also appreciate knowing your veterinarian’s contact information and an emergency contact, just in case. The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can provide personalized, loving, and dependable care that helps them feel safe and at home while you’re away.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and engaged! Depending on each pet’s personality, age, and energy level, we’ll enjoy activities like walks, fetch, tug-of-war, interactive toys, puzzle games, and plenty of playtime. For pets who enjoy being outdoors, we’ll spend time exploring safe walking routes and getting fresh air and exercise. For cats and more relaxed pets, I provide interactive play with toys, gentle brushing, cuddles, and quiet companionship. I also enjoy reinforcing basic commands with positive reinforcement and rewarding good behavior with treats (if approved by the owner). Every pet is different, so I tailor activities to their individual needs and comfort level. Whether your pet loves to run and play or simply curl up for belly rubs and affection, I’ll make sure they receive the attention, enrichment, exercise, and love they deserve while you’re away. My goal is for every pet to have fun, stay safe, and feel like they’re spending time with a trusted friend.

Tanacka did an amazing job taking care of my two cats. She sent me updates and pictures while I was away, which made me feel so much better knowing they were doing well.
