I, Aunt Tammy, take care of doggies full time. My business is Heart + Soul Dogs. I board select doggies in my home and do 1 scheduled walk job outside the home Monday thru Friday. I am gone once a day for 3 hours. Monday - Friday. Mornings I am with the doggies until 10:15, then I return at 1. Then, I am home for the rest of the day to care for & spend time with all the doggies. On the weekends I may go out for a few hours to run errands. Love, Aunt Tammy

Information Tammy T. would like to know about your pet

Earliest drop off or pick up times - 8am til 9:30am Or, after 1 til 10pm *No pick ups or drop offs between 9:30am & 1pm I do require a typed or written sheet with the following info. that I can file for future stays and update whenever needed; - Doggies name, nick names, age, birthday - habits, good and bad - things to watch for - contact info. while away - yours and another relative or friend - vet and 24 hour emergency vet - food (bring your own) amount and general times of feedings - number of poops and when -signals for pottying - any health issues to watch for - like tummy issues, limping, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, etc. - wake time and bed time typically - any resource guarding issues - bones allowed ( you can bring a few of your own & they will be returned) - toys allowed ( you can bring a few of your own & they will be returned) - special blanket with the smells of home if you like - special bowls if you like ( I have plenty so it's up to you) - brush (if needed for longer hair dogs) Anything else you can think of that would help your doggies stay pleasant. * Rabies vaccination needs to be current or a titer to show antibodies Also, I do appreciate a dog that has had the nails trimmed. This is important because they may interact with other doggies and could scratch them. Trimmed nails also help to not snag the furniture and blankets. A dog with their eyes trimmed is nice. I feel bad when they can't see. Love, Aunt Tammy

A typical day

I like to give the doggies what they need to be happy! Love Aunt Tammy Some really like to chase toys, some like to chew on safe bones, some like to get a walkie, some like to go for a car ride & some want extra cuddle time. I typically take the doggies outside every 2 hours for a potty break and some outside stretch time. I go with them to make sure they are safe and don't get into any trouble. Once we get a routine they settle in very nicely and many times they enjoy having doggie friends. It melts my heart when they bond with one another and play together with a good game of chase or join up on a fun walk. Night time, the doggies are welcome to sleep anywhere they chose. I have doggie beds everywhere, the furniture has plush covers and they can sleep with us in our king bed if that's what they're used to. Morning time I take everyone out and then do separate feedings to avoid any problems. I stand on guard for each feeding and pick up the bowl right away. If treats are allowed, I do give a few small pieces through out the day. I do not over treat. Our days are fun and interactive with lots of love to make them have a great experience and feel safe. Pet care experience

Hi - I have become Aunt Tammy for many families over the past 21 years. A safe, loving place for your fur baby to stay while your away is everything. The peace of mind you have knowing they are happy and comfortable allows you to travel without worry. I send pics and videos to warm your heart knowing they are not stressed and getting tended to. My home is your doggies home away from home. I'm only adding smaller dogs moving forward with my business. Combining dogs with drastic size and weight differences along with playing styles poses challenges with safety so I have decided to only add smaller dogs to lesson this concern. Smaller typically would be 30lbs or less. I will take 35lbs or less if it is a older more low energy type doggie that can mix well with smaller dogs. With new doggie guests I need to do a meet & greet to make sure your dog does well with other dogs. Your doggie doesn't need to want to play with other doggies, just not bark at, chase or give off a bad attitude. If your doggie is questionable with interaction with other doggies we may need to do an overnight to make sure I will have no issues for your longer stay. With male dogs I need to initiate them coming into the house wearing a belly band diaper. Some males mark, pee, and I need to see if your dog will do that when sniffing out my house, being in a new surrounding, with many doggie smells. Typically, if they don't try to mark, pee, the first day, they won't be inclined to do so at all. I have all size diapers here, so no need to bring one. The doggies here get all the love & care they deserve and look forward to coming here. Many times they make doggie friends which is healthy for them to have those experiences. I ask for information before your doggies stay that I can refer to and use for consecutive stays. I ask that you provide their feeding schedule, treats allowed, chewing toys, potty schedule, emergency contacts, bad habits, play fun activities, commands they know, fears they may have like storms, health concerns, where they sleep and whatever other information you can tell me to make your doggies stay the very best. I keep this info in a folder so you don't have to do it again unless there is a change that needs to be made. Love, Aunt Tammy

After our first experience with Tammy, we will definitely book with her again. She is a 'dog person' and loves them all. I appreciate her level of knowledge concerning dog care and feel confident about leaving my little one with her. Thank you
