CAGE FREE! STRESS FREE! GUILT FREE! My whole life has been about dogs! I have always owned one or two, and I am excellent at training them. My first dog related job was as a kennel attendant at a prominent veterinary hospital. My job was to let the dogs outside, clean their kennels, food dishes, blankets, etc. Then they were fed, watered, and medications were given to dogs who needed them. It was also my job to clean them up before they went home. If they paid for a bath, I had to brush, bath and dry them. If they did not pay for a bath, I would wash off their feet and spray some cologne on them. Soon I advanced to veterinary assistant. I still did my kennel work, but i also assisted the vets with appointments and morning/afternoon rounds. It quickly became apparent that I had a special gift with animals, and I was often sought for help with difficult dogs. They were calm in my presence and would allow the vets to examine them, etc. I was called a "whisperer". There was a groomer at the hospital, and she would observe me working with the dogs. One day she suggested that I would make a good groomer, and put me in touch with a woman who agreed to train me. I did make a good groomer! I was able to groom the "problem dogs" that others couldn't groom. I was a successful groomer for over 30 years. Then I retired and sold my business "The Howl Le Luiah Groomers" in Fairport, NY. I retired with no savings, pension, etc., so I still need to earn an income. I have been boarding for my own grooming clients for years and would like to expand on that. Your dog will be my dog while it is here. It will be loved, walked, played with, snuggles on the couch, treats for good behavior, etc. I have TWO LARGE fenced in yards for plenty of outdoor fun, and as a bonus...if you would like your dog to be groomed during it's stay I can take care of that for you.
