**About me** I am the pet and people person, and Mark is the "I like animals more than people" guy. I am a 31-year veteran school teacher who wanted a dog, but couldn't have pets growing up. So I am making up for it as an adult. I've raised a Rottweiler, and all of our German Shepherds, and love the puppy heaven I call home. Mark works in security and has had dogs all of his life. His relationships with his k-9 companions exemplifies the phrase, "man's best friend." He has raised German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, and mixed breeds. Both friends and family know that Mark and I are people they can trust to take special care of their fur babies. My family often refers to me as "the dog whisperer", though I prefers whisperess ☺️, calling on me with questions, advice, and for house calls to help with behavioral problems. We work opposite schedules, and as a teacher, I'm off on weekends, holidays, and summers so someone can always be home with your fur babies during those times. When I'm working, your fur babies will not be alone for more than 3 hours. **About my home/services** We provide 'guilt-free pet owner' pet sitting services! We are nestled in the Shenandoah Valley in Jefferson County on 120 acres of private property in Charles Town, WV, where your fur babies will have plenty of space for fun, exercise and leisure. When outside, your fur babies will be safe in the extra-large fenced in back yard where we enjoy playtime and relaxation on the wrap around shaded porch. When inside, your fur babies are crated in our “guest room” (formerly known as our living room. With us, you can rest assured that your pups are safe and secure, while having fun, getting exercise, and socialization, without having to leave the property. **About my neighborhood** Our home is located 1/2 mile from the gated entrance off of Mount Hammond Lane. Peaceful, private, tranquil, and serene, are descriptors that will come to mind when you drop off and pick up your fur babies. "Neighbors" are 1/2 mile+ away. Your fur babies will truly be on a totally pawesome getaway! **What to expect** When your fur babies are with us, they enjoy running and playing fetch in the back "yard", which could be mistaken for a dog park. When inside guests cool off & take much needed naps in what used to be our living room, turned guest room. Though we feel that crating is necessary for the safety and well-being of our fur babies and yours, your fur babies will enjoy cuddles, attention and less crate time than in traditional boarding facilities Hate that guilty feeling when you leave your pet at a kennel? Our mission is to provide a totally awesome getaway that gives your pet that same "I can't wait to come back here" feeling that you get when it's time to head home from vacation. We'll be sure your fur baby's stay is a vacay. Let's arrange your fur baby's getaway today! **Special rules or requests** Our smallest resident fur baby is 40lbs, and the rest are German Shepherds. We welcome all dogs, so it is great if your smaller breeds are comfortable with larger breeds, but not required. We've hosted breeds from Shih Tzu to Great Dane, 12lbs to 90lbs. We also prefer male dogs to be neutered and do not host females in heat. In an attempt to streamline our personal schedules we now have drop-off and pick up windows. Mon - Fri Drop-off/Pick-up Times -6:30pm - 8:00pm Sat - Sun Drop-off/Pick-up Times - 10:30:00am - 11:30am and 6:30pm - 8:00pm Please make every attempt to schedule your drop-offs and pick-ups during these times. If a special exception is needed, please ask to see if we can accommodate your schedule. ***Pick up & Drop off service is in Charles Town and Harper’s Ferry only.*** We also ask that you help us make your and all other fur baby's transitions and stays smooth by trying to stick to your scheduled drop-off and pick-up appointment times. We are not a commercial facility with a large staff. While we would like to accommodate everyone's schedule as best we can, it can get hectic when numerous people are making last minute requests to change their pick up or drop off times. We appreciation your understanding and cooperation. With each visit, we request that you send a message when you are entering the gate to the property, and that you do not enter the outside dog area without one of us present (even if you don't see any dogs). One of us will come out to greet you.
