I've had cats, dogs and horses over the past 35 years. Currently have five rescue cats that now live like a King and Queens and are very well loved and taken care of, one of which is a senior cat who is now 17. I recently lost a mare that lived to the age of 30. My point is I take very good care of all of my loved ones no matter what bred they are. I believe they all need the love, attention and care they deserve nothing less than they receive from their own family members. I know personally how hard it is to leave your loved ones in the hands of someone else taking care of them while you're gone.
