Pet care experience
Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer
I have several years of hands-on experience working with dogs, beginning with volunteering at an animal shelter and progressing into positive-reinforcement dog training. Through that experience, I’ve worked with dogs of different ages, sizes, personalities, and individual needs. As a dog trainer, I have experience with puppies, adolescent and adult dogs, basic manners, leash skills, enrichment, scent work, and helping dogs build confidence in new or challenging situations. I pay close attention to canine body language and believe in meeting each dog where they are rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I understand that a drop-in visit is about more than simply feeding a pet or letting a dog outside. I want your pet to feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m happy to follow established routines and provide potty breaks, meals, play, enrichment, companionship, and plenty of individual attention based on what your pet enjoys. I’m also comfortable caring for cats and understand that they often have their own preferences when it comes to interaction and personal space. Whether I’m caring for a dog or cat, my goal is to provide patient, reliable, and thoughtful care while treating each pet as an individual.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the routine and instructions provided by their family while paying close attention to the individual pet’s behavior and body language. My background in positive-reinforcement dog training has taught me to prioritize safety, choice, and low-stress interactions. I take time to allow pets to become comfortable with me rather than forcing interaction. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, and other household safety needs, and I’m happy to provide updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is to leave your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and cared for in the environment they know best.

Schedule
My schedule allows me flexibility to provide drop-in care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on availability. I intentionally limit the number of visits I accept each day so I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve rather than rushing from one appointment to the next. I’m also open to recurring weekly care for families who need consistent support.
