I'm retired, so pet care fits easily into my day. I’m home the majority of the time and can give your dog plenty of attention, walks, and consistency. We follow a steady routine with one long daily walk, playtime in the yard, and lots of companionship throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left waiting or wondering when the next bit of care is coming—they’re part of my daily rhythm.

Safety, trust & environment

I keep things calm, consistent, and safe. In my home, dogs have a quiet space with no other pets or children, plus a securely fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. I keep doors and gates locked, check collars and harnesses before every walk, and stick closely to your feeding, medication, and routine instructions so your dog feels at home. I monitor dogs closely, avoid risky situations, and make sure they’re never left unsupervised. My goal is simple: a safe environment, a predictable routine, and a trustworthy caretaker your dog can relax with.

Information Tammy B. would like to know about your pet

It’s important for me to know anything that helps your dog feel safe and settled. Let me know about their routines, feeding schedule, medications, quirks, fears, reactivity triggers, or any training cues you use at home. I also appreciate knowing how they do with other dogs on walks, their energy level, and any health issues or mobility concerns. The more I know ahead of time, the more smoothly I can keep your dog’s routine consistent and stress-free.

A typical day

A typical day is a mix of fresh air and plenty of attention. I start with a longer walk—about an hour and a half to two hours—where we explore the neighbourhood or nearby trails at your dog’s pace. Throughout the day we play in the fenced yard, or just hang out together at home. Evenings are for snuggles and gentle play before bedtime. My goal is to give your dog a day that feels familiar, fun, and reassuring.

One-on-one care in a loving home

Pet care experience

I generally host only one dog at a time so I can provide a calm, safe, and personalized environment. Exceptions may be made for dogs from the same family or dogs I already know get along well together. I’ve spent my whole life caring for dogs of all kinds, from shepherds and collies to pom-pitz mixes and mutts, and I’m comfortable with everything from easygoing pups to reactive or anxious dogs. I can walk, bathe, and give medications, and I’ll follow your feeding, medication, or supplement schedule exactly as you do at home. I host dogs in my quiet home on the edge of town, where they have a fenced yard, no other pets, and plenty of peace. Being retired means your dog gets my full attention: one long walk each day and playtime in the yard throughout the day. I’m not a match for very large or aggressive dogs, but for small to medium dogs who need steady care and a calm environment, I’m all in.
