Thoughtful Care, Every Pet
I’ve spent the last 10 years caring for pets through friends, family, referrals, and repeat clients. Along the way, I’ve raised my own dogs, cared for puppies and seniors, administered medications including pills and eye drops, managed special diets, and looked after dogs of all sizes and personalities. I believe every pet is unique and deserves individualized care, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and what helps them feel safe and happy. One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is getting to know each animal’s personality. Whether they’re goofy, shy, energetic, or happiest curled up next to someone they trust, I genuinely enjoy earning that trust and making them feel at home. My career as an executive assistant has taught me that trust is earned through reliability, thoughtful communication, and attention to detail. Those are the same qualities I bring to every pet and every home I care for by carefully following your instructions, keeping you updated with photos and videos, and treating your home and your pet with genuine care and respect. I’ve also been told my updates feel like little pet photoshoots, and I love capturing each pet’s unique personality along the way. My hope is that every update brings a smile to your face and gives you complete confidence that your pet is happy, safe, and in good hands.

Tamika is a loving pet caregiver. When I had to go out of town unexpectedly, Tamika offered to take care of my French bulldog, Chloe, for me. Chloe was in the best hands and loves Tamika. They went for walks and got a bit spoiled during her time there. I would recommend Tamika to anyone who needed a responsible & loving caregiver!
Can’t say enough good things about Tamika. She instantly took to our girls and while they’re loves, they also need someone who can lead them so they don’t get mischievous. She clearly has a lot of experience with dogs of all kinds and knew just how to treat them and followed our instructions and requests exactly. And she definitely gave them plenty of love too. Everything you’d hope fon a dog sitter!!! We feel SO lucky to have found her on Rover!

Hello there! Tamika has cared for my dogs, Bunny and Bear, several times over the past few years. I cannot say enough good things about her. My dogs absolutely adore her! Tamika is a kind and gentle soul and my dogs bonded to her immediately. My dog Bear required pills and eye drops multiple times a day and Tamika always stayed on top of medication schedule. He had complex medical issues and Tamika took the time to ask questions and educate herself on his specific needs. Bunny is a diva a requires an excessive amount of attention and received so much love and care from Tamika. Tamika always provided regular updates when I wasn't around and she made communication a breeze. I'm so grateful I met Tamika and there truly isn't anyone else I would trust my babies with. She's the best!
Tamika took care of my dog, Honey several times. Not only did she care for her, she loved her, took photos and provided updates to me every day. She made sure that the experience was great for Honey but also for me. I never had to worry and Honey loved being with her as well.
I’ve known Tamika for years, and if I ever had to trust someone with my own animals, she would be my first call without hesitation. When I moved away, I referred all of my pet sitting clients to her. Every single one of them loved (even more than they loved me! which says everything about the level of care she provides). She doesn’t treat pet sitting like a checklist. She takes the time to understand each animal’s unique personality, routine, and preferences, and she adapts to them rather than expecting them to adapt to her. I’ve also worked alongside Tamika while caring for a dog over the course of about ten months, and I watched her consistently go far beyond what anyone would expect. She voluntarily added an extra daily walk because she knew it made the dog’s day better. She celebrated her birthday with a dog-friendly cake and new toys, gave her baths, researched and bought healthier food, and constantly looked for little ways to improve her quality of life. Her care comes from genuine love, not obligation. One of my favorite things about Tamika is her ability to truly see animals. They instinctively trust her, relax around her, and form deep bonds with her. I’ve honestly never met someone who animals seem to love as universally as they love Tamika. She also happens to be an incredibly talented photographer. The portraits she takes don’t just look beautiful and cute, they capture each pet’s unique personality and spirit in a way that is incredibly special for owners. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, thoughtful, communicative, and will genuinely love your pet as if they were her own, I can’t recommend Tamika highly enough. Your pets will be in the very best hands.

Schedule
My schedule currently allows for morning and evening visits during the week, as well as weekend availability for overnight house sitting and boarding. Rather than booking as many clients as possible, I prefer to keep my schedule manageable so I can provide every pet with the thoughtful, individualized care they deserve. I’ll always be transparent about my availability, so you can book with confidence knowing your pet will receive my full attention.

I currently live in a quiet, pet-free apartment, which provides a calm environment for weekend boarding. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, you can expect clear, proactive communication, regular photo and video updates, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing they’re in caring, attentive hands.
A typical day
Every pet has a different routine, and I do my best to keep that consistency while you’re away. Whether that means leisurely walks, active playtime, enrichment activities, relaxing together, or simply keeping them company, I tailor each day to their personality, age, and energy level. My goal is to make each visit feel as familiar, engaging, and stress-free as possible, so your pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy until you’re home again.
