RIDGES & PAWS!

I know leaving part of your family behind is very stressful. My goal is to remove some of the anxiety involved, so you can enjoy your time away and be as productive as possible. Your pets become part of my pack for a short time, are well cared for and loved on, and are calm and ready when you return. Their social and mental needs are met along with their physical needs; socializing with other dogs, play, walks...keep your pet happy and healthy in your absence. About this sitter: I have a Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Med Biology & Chemistry and a Master's Degree in Biology. I have been a Microbiologist for a heart valve manufacturing company, owned and operated a Medical Transcription service, taught high school and middle school science and math, was a Mary Kay Grand Achiever, and was a Quality Assurance Specialist evaluating compensation examinations for the VA. I have been caring for animals of all kinds for as long as I can remember, and professionally since 2009. I began RIDGES & PAWS as a service to provide for the times when you could not care for your pets. Having my own lifelong pets, I understand how difficult it is to find someone who will care for your family members as well as you would like. Your pets become an immediate part of my family! Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks Duke & Samson have passed, and Red is growing into his role, to welcome, to evaluate and to socialize other dogs. Our 3 cats - Shadow, Nala & Grayson, the latest in a series of what I lovingly call "failed rescues" - they never left. We have a good sized garden most of the time. I would love to get to know your family, and to welcome your pets into mine. I have experience caring for all forms of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, geckos, lizards, goats, horses, cows, hamsters, guinea pigs, pigs, etc. Why I love dog sitting I have loved and owned dogs most of my life. My passion is to help owners and the public better understand how to relate to dogs. ie, training the dog means first training the owner. Meet my pets Our Rhodesian Ridgebacks Duke & Samson have passed, and Red is growing into his role, to welcome, to evaluate and to socialize other dogs. Our 3 cats - Shadow, Nala & Grayson, the latest in a series of what I lovingly call "failed rescues" - they never left. About my yard My backyard is fenced, secure, has a garden & shade. I have double entrances inside & outside, to reduce 'unauthorized' exits & field trips. My experience administering medication My background is medical, so wound/illness care and administration of medications is part of providing care. At our first meeting, we will go over paperwork for you to complete, answer any questions you have for me, and anything I need to know about your family member. As a general rule, all that will need to accompany them during their stay is food and medications/vitamins/supplements they will need. Food bowls are helpful. Any bedding, toys, accessories may come as well, with the understanding that they may not return in the same condition. Routine business hours are 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Please let me know if you have petcare needs outside these times. We play hard, and we rest hard; Repeat. Schedules may differ based on the makeup of a daily pack, but routines remain consistent. Everything I do is to enhance a calm and peaceful environment for my guests. During rest periods, and especially during storms or fireworks, shades are drawn & smooth jazz is playing. My backyard is fenced, secure, has a garden & shade. I have double entrances inside & outside, to reduce 'unauthorized' exits. Kennels are used for sleeping, eating, transitions & any unsupervised times, to ensure everyone's safety.

Tambre was such a blessing for us and Sweet Pea. From the very first daycare visit, she completely eased our minds and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog in her care. When we first met her, Tambre and her sweet dog Red were waiting outside to greet us, and Red was so well behaved and friendly. It immediately gave us a great feeling. We loved that Sweet Pea was able to socialize with her other dogs in a safe and loving environment. Tambre kept us updated with photos throughout the stay, which meant so much to us, especially since we were out of state for our wedding for 10 days. It also happened to be Sweet Pea’s birthday during her stay, and Tambre made sure she got the treats we sent and shared sweet pictures with us. Every time we picked Sweet Pea up, she was happy, relaxed, and completely worn out from all the fun and attention she received. After our first short daycare visit, we already felt like we had found the perfect match, and after trusting Tambre with Sweet Pea for 10 days, we can confidently say we trust her completely to care for our dog with love and attention. We are so grateful we found Tambre and will absolutely be using her again in the future. Thank you Tambre, Marlisa and Randy

Tambre and her sweet pup Red were amazing as always! Duke and Daisy love staying for boarding and love getting socialized with Tambre’s other clients. They have really helped Daisy come out of her shell and I always trust Tambre to introduce her to new dogs safely and with care. Duke and Daisy leave exhausted and fulfilled (which is saying a lot for GSPs). I highly recommend Tambre for both daycare and boarding. She is professional, responsible, and loving above all!

They came back in one piece, 😊 however the sitter would not invite me in at drop off or pickup. But she did send photos. I’m not to sure of their sleeping arrangements or if they were outside all night. They are extremely worn out today. Maybe they had good activity or did not sleep well.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Our neighborhood has minimal traffic and is great for walks. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I will use my best judgment in each case, but typically, I will kennel guests to sleep to reduce their anxiety in a new place, and to protect them from wandering unsupervised in the night. Time I'll spend with your dog Working at home allows me the freedom to be in my home consistently. While boarding in my home, your pets will be with me most of the time. Time I'll spend with your dog When visiting your home, I typically will schedule 2 visits/day, and try to keep them close to 12-hour intervals. Each visit is usually up to 30 minutes, depending on how many pets and the tasks required. We will agree on a routine for your household before you go. Extra house-sitting services When I am providing care in your home, the purpose of the service is for you to be able to enjoy your trip knowing all is well at home.

I love ALL dogs, but have a great big space in my heart for great big dogs! Before keeping a dog in my home, for their own safety, I would like to know as much of their history as I can; are they escape artists, have they encountered aggressive dogs before, what are the behaviors that concern the owners? Seemingly insignificant details can surface in a new environment. Knowing as much of their history as I can, I can better work with the owners to identify triggers and to modify potentially troublesome behavior, for their pet's safety and comfort.
