Tamber is a lovely person and great sitter. She sent regular updates, was accommodating of scheduling requests, and genuinely seemed to have a good time taking care of our dogs. Tamber is a good communicator and gave our pets the same love as if they were her own. I highly recommend Tamber for boarding and other care options.

Leaving Frankie with someone else for the first time was something I was incredibly nervous about. I’ve only had him for two months, and because he’s a rescue from animal control, he’s anxious around new people and fearful of other dogs. Within no time at all, though, he completely fell in love with her. Seeing how safe and comfortable he felt gave me so much peace of mind. She has a wonderful fenced backyard, took him on daily walks, and treated him like he was her own. I received so many pictures, videos, and thoughtful updates every single day, which meant the world to me. It was so obvious how genuinely she loved and cared for him. To make an already amazing experience even better, I was in an accident on my way home and unexpectedly couldn’t pick Frankie up on time. Without hesitation, she kept him longer so I could deal with getting a rental car and safely make it home. She never made me feel like it was an inconvenience, and that kindness meant more than I can express. I actually drove almost an hour just so Frankie could stay with her, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. She cares for every dog with so much patience, grace, and love. I truly cannot recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, she’s the one.

Tamber was attentive and informative during Miles' first stay. We loved her daily reports and concerns that Miles was as comfortable as possible while in her home. Thank you Tamber so much for everything. You are a gift.

Tamber was super responsive the entire time and communicated regularly, which I really appreciated. She also sent photo updates of my dogs so I always knew they were doing well. Her fenced-in yard was a huge plus and made things really convenient for our senior dogs. I could tell she was really sweet and patient with my older pups. I would definitely use her again!

Stella was SO happy with Tamber. Got daily updates and felt like she was in such great care. Couldn’t rate her higher if I wanted too!

Schedule

I work 30 hours a week at a restaurant, but shifts are usually never longer than 8 hours. The rest of my time is spent at home studying to be a physical therapy assistant. I thoroughly enjoy having furry friends stay over and keep me company while I pursue my career goals and education. I'm usually up by 7am am every day, so early drop-offs before your work shift are no problem!

Safety, trust & environment

I am BIG on communication while your pet is in my care. Our initial meeting will include a quick interview so I can learn your pet's schedule, typical behaviors, special care instructions, and play preferences. For boarding, I like to provide a daily recap text and even a few pictures so you can see your pet's level of comfort and care. If you are using my daycare services, I will take note of feeding and walking/outside times as well as other highlights to summarize at pick-up time. I'm a big cuddler who is also very respectful of pets who aren't. Animals are allowed anywhere with an open door and can sit or lay down on furniture (unless you've directed otherwise). All plants are high up and non-toxic. I have a large living room and kitchen with multiple spots for food and water that can be set for any pets who have trouble sharing. The tree-lined fence of my yard is six feet tall and wooden, helping deter even the most agile pet from jumping or digging their way out. You are welcome to bring any beds, blankets, toys, crates, food bowls, or any other item that will help make your pet feel at home.

A typical day

When your pet stays with me, they’re in for a treat! From fun backyard romps and plenty of pets to light training with your provided prompts and treats, I ensure they’re entertained and well-cared for. They’ll enjoy scheduled feedings and, weather permitting, refreshing walks to the park. If your pup loves tug-of-war or fetch, bring their favorite toys or treat puzzles, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of playtime. And if your furry friend prefers a cozy lap, I’ve got that covered too!

I am all about giving the best and most informed care possible for your pet. I'll make sure to note their regular schedule, typical behaviors, and other preferences. Please let me know of any potential challenging behaviors (chewing, separation anxiety, escaping, leash pulling, food aggression, etc.) so I can do my best to prepare and care for your friend. I would also LOVE to know what commands your friend knows so we can have fun and constructive mental exercise and playtime. Because my schedule does have me away for 8 hours at a time some days, I always make sure to let you know what days I'll be working during your scheduled services and update you on any changes. And I make sure that your friend has plenty of exercise and attention before any time left unaccompanied.
