I’m Tamara and I love dogs. I always laugh with their shenanigans and fun-loving personalities! It’s a dream come true to be able to use my skills and experience to care for dogs to help the pet parents of Pickens and surrounding areas. With over 20 years of experience raising, training, and caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and personalities, you can feel confident that I can handle any situation, connect with any dog, and provide the most loving and responsible care to your furry loved one. With five dogs of my own, all of different breeds, I know how hard it is to be away from your pups. I’ll be in constant contact, providing excellent care to you (in addition to your dog) by sending photo and text updates showing how much fun we’re having and how safe your dog is in my care. I’ll be sure to follow your instructions and respect your wishes and will be respectful and courteous. In addition to my extended knowledge of dog care, I have owned and watched cats, rabbits, ferrets, rats, and mice and would be happy to offer care to any of these animals on Rover. The more the merrier! I only allow one boarding client at a time. If you have more than one dog that's ok. But rest assured I will not have other dogs that you have not met in the home during your pet(s) stay. Please be sure to administer any flea and heartworm medications before bringing your pet to my home. Please do not send your pet to me with fleas or any illnesses as I also have my own fur babies to protect. Any serious property damage blatantly caused by your pet during a stay at my home will be reported to you immediately and compensation for repairs will be an expectation. Most things like linen damage or a hole in the yard is to be expected and will be exempt.

Tamara was awesome. She came faithfully every day and took great care of Sally. Sally was lonely with her people gone for the week but Tamara always played with her and gave her love in addition to making sure she had fresh water and plenty of food.
Tamara was very nice, flexible and thoughtful. Although perhaps Poundcake was not at his best behavior and we apologize for that. I recommend her. She did a great job and you can tell how much she cares about animals.
Tamara was absolutely wonderful. She stayed in constant contact with us the whole time we were gone. She sent great pics and loved on our fur babies the whole time. She is most dependable and we will be sure to use her again. Thank you Tamara!
Tamera was amazing! We could not have been more happy that we could trust someone so loving with our baby! We got daily updates on Daisy and we were assured that she was doing well with Tamera’s dogs. I loved that Tamera allowed daisy to sleep with her in bed, as I am sure it made daisy feel safe. We will 100% use Tamera again knowing that Daisy was in good hands!
Tamara was the best sitter i could ask for. She was a great host for Venus and very accommodating. She would send me pictures and was always available and responded quickly. 5 stars gives her no justice!
Tamara took such good care of my girl! She sent me lots of pictures and updates on how she was doing. She was also very accommodating to my schedule, which I so appreciated. My pup came back happy and tuckered out! I would definitely recommend her!

Schedule
I work full-time from home with one day a week attending to my career in person. On the days I do need to leave my home for a period over four hours, I have a dog nanny who is a trusted friend that comes to visit with, feed, and let the dogs out in the fenced in yard. Your pup will have limited time alone during a stay at my home.

I have a large, fenced in yard and amazing accommodations to offer your pup. I also allow them to sleep in the human bed with me and my kids, if you allow it.

A typical day
On a stay with me, your pup will be safe and happy. I aim to keep them as comfortable and as happy as possible. If your pup is shy, I will go above and beyond to accommodate them.
