Forest & Lake Retreat
We look forward to taking care of your furry loved one at our home in the Laurentian mountains. We live on an acre of land surrounded by water and mountains, a true dog paradise! My husband and I both work from home so someone is always around. We both grew up with dogs and currently have two of our own. Poppy is an 11 year old terrier mix and Winnie is a 3 year old Potcake from Dominican Republic. They’re very friendly with other dogs and enjoy the company. We also have a dog-obsessed toddler. Though this is our first few months of dog-sitting, we are being mentored by Esther, who was recently Rover's #1 provider in Montreal. Dogs are treated like members of the family here, and are welcome up on the couches and beds. They’ll have access to unlimited time outside with lots of space and a fenced enclosure. Their comfort and well being is of utmost importance to us! If your dog has special needs or must be kept away from other dogs or our child, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. Tamara, Daniel, Meadow et leurs deux poilues toutes mignonnes ont réussi à charmer notre vieille Ginger, ainsi que notre grand Jules. Imaginez des putois un peu déçus que leurs humains reviennent plus tôt que prévu, puisqu’ils n’ont pas pu faire une dernière expédition en montagne!😅 Qu’à cela ne tienne, Daniel leur a concocté de bons œufs brouillés comme prix de consolation, en nous attendant. Je recommande vivement cette famille, c’est à coeur ouvert qu’ils ont accueilli nos deux pitous et nous avons pu passer un séjour en toute paix d’esprit. Merci, Tamara et Daniel! We are grateful to Tamara and Henry for taking care of our pup during our visit to Mont Tremblant for a day. Tamara was responsive, flexible, and answered all of our questions. She also sent us regular photo updates. The space is secure and offers lots of room to play. We highly recommend.

Schedule
There is always someone home. Since we have two dogs of our own, the routine of feedings and outings is very much part of our week already.

Safety, trust & environment
This is the place for dog parents who really care about quality of life! We want our guests to get a vacation just like their humans do. Dogs will roam free in a 3 story house, with immediate access to the outdoors; one acre of forest land with a small beach and lake access. Dogs outdoors will either be leashed 100% of the time, or kept in an outdoor enclosure of about 500 sq. ft. Dogs are welcome to relax on the couch, will have homemade snacks, socialize with our two friendly dogs, and enjoy the company of a family who truly cares for their comfort.
Pets
A typical day
We'll do at least two big walks down our country road, with four bathroom breaks daily minimum or upon request! A fun 500 sq. ft. fenced in area in nature lets the dogs run around and play on snow, with a larger forest area (2,000 sq. ft.) to come in summer 2025.
