I grew up with a dog and spent a lot of time playing with him, going on walks and attending dog school together. Because of this, I have been comfortable around dogs from a young age and have always enjoyed spending time with them. Throughout the years I have also taken care of dogs belonging to friends, neighbours and family and love being around dogs whenever I get the chance. I enjoy going for walks, playing with them and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Over the years I have completed several online courses on dog body language and communication and have read books about dog training and behaviour, including work by Martin Rütter. I am also a big fan of Victoria Stilwell’s positive training philosophy and enjoy learning about respectful and reward-based ways of working with dogs. As a teenager I also helped in veterinary clinics, and because of my professional background in healthcare I have basic medical knowledge and feel comfortable recognizing when an animal might need extra care or attention. Because of this interest and experience, I pay close attention to a dog’s signals and always try to create a calm, safe and positive environment. Whether it is walks, playtime or simply keeping a dog company, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and making sure they feel relaxed and well cared for.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, my priority is always to make them feel safe and comfortable. I usually prefer taking care of animals in their own home, as this allows them to stay in a familiar environment and follow their usual routines. I like to take the time to get to know each pet first – their personality, habits and comfort zones – and adapt my care to their individual needs.

Tamara is a responsible, loving and experienced pet sitter. I know Tamara from her work in a local cat rescue association. Tamara has a lot of experience with cats, even feral ones. She has rescued several pregnant cat mums, had one in foster care with her kittens and also bottle fed the new born. She is patient with the shy ones and knows how to activate them and gain their trust. Tamara has done an amazing job taking care of our cats at our home while we were on vacation (4 adults + 3 kittens). When we came back the cats looked happy and well taken care of. The home was also clean and tidy. Tamara is an amazing pet sitter and I very much recommend her to anyone who wants their pets to be in good hands.
I’ve had the chance to see how Tamara is with animals in everyday life, and she’s naturally very caring and attentive with them. She’s patient, calm, and really enjoys spending time with pets, whether that’s going for walks, playing with them, or just making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I would completely trust her to take care of any pet, knowing they would be treated with kindness and genuine care :)

Schedule
I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for animals. As I begin taking on part-time work, I still plan to keep enough availability specifically for pet care. This means I can adapt to different routines and schedules, including daytime visits, walks, or evening check-ins depending on what works best for you and your pet.
