Safety, trust & environment

While caring for a furbaby at the client’s home, I am EXTREMELY huge on checklists and to do lists. This keeps me on track all day, ensuring that your pet is on a schedule so that I can create a routine that sort of helps me predict your pet’s behavior. I am very attentive, making sure that the pet is in my sight at all times, especially younger pets. Also, I do posses a certificate in animal first aid.

Information Talia S. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your baby has any special needs, or behavior that I should be aware of so I can adjust and help your pet feel as comfortable as possible with me while you're away.

A typical day

I am big on enrichment. A typical day would start with me analyzing the detailed instructions left for me regarding the pet so that I can make sure that the core duties have been completed. Next, we would enjoy an extensive play time full of running and exercise to get them nice and tired for belly rubs, behind the ear scratches, and rest. After resting, I would like to do some form of enrichment for the pet; such as, treat hide-and-seek (I take some healthy training treats and hide them around and encourage your pet to find the treats), or a tasty lick mat (with your permission of course), but these activity promote mental stimulation and keeps them busy.

Pet care experience

I have been pet sitting since 2017. Along with that I have plenty of experience working with animals considering I have been volunteering at animal shelters and veterinary clinics since 2016. I previously worked at Banfield Pet Hospital where I have bolstered my skills and experience with mostly dogs, cats, and some smaller animals such as hamsters. I am confident in my knowledge of dog and cat behavior; I have the ability to restrain, administer medications, basic obedience training, animal safety, and attentiveness to your pets unique personality and overall health .
