Since I work from home, pet care isn't squeezed into gaps in my day it is my day. Mornings usually start with a walk or playtime before I settle into work, with regular breaks throughout the day for cuddles, bathroom breaks, or just checking in. Because I only host one pet at a time, there's no juggling multiple schedules your pet gets consistent attention from morning to night, not just whenever I have a free moment.

In my home, your pet has the run of a calm, comfortable space not a crate in a back room. They're free to roam and get cozy on the furniture, just like they would at home. Since I only host one pet at a time, there's no competing for space, toys, or attention. I keep to your pet's normal routine as closely as possible (feeding times, walk schedule, sleeping arrangements) so the visit feels less like a disruption and more like a home away from home.

Information Talia R. would like to know about your pet

Before your pet's stay, please be honest with me about their feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, current medications, and general temperament like cuddly vs. independent, high-energy vs. low-key, favorite toys and comfort items. I also need to know about anxiety triggers, including if they tend to bark at everything, mark their territory indoors, or can't be left alone for periods of time. I've dealt with all of these before and I'm happy to work with them, but I need to know ahead of time so I can prepare and keep everyone comfortable. I get that it's tempting to leave out the "less flattering" details, but the more honest you are upfront, the better care I can give your pet. Nothing your dog or cat does will scare me off , surprises just make it harder to set them up for success.

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I like to pick up toys and treats suited to their personality and preferences before they arrive whether that's a puzzle toy for a food-motivated dog, a wand toy for a playful cat, or something soft and comforting for a more anxious guest. We head to a private, enclosed park at least once a day for off-leash playtime and exploring, plus walks throughout the day to keep things active. And since I'm home all day, there's always time built in for cuddles, downtime, and just hanging out together.

Pet care experience

Pet sitting has been part of my life for over 5 years, and it's never stopped feeling like a joy rather than a job. I work from home, so your pet isn't just "watched" they're part of my day, every day. I only host one dog or cat at a time typically, which means no competing for attention, no chaotic multi-pet households, just consistent one-on-one care in a calm environment. I'm based in Oak Cliff/Bishop Arts, and my days revolve around walks, playtime, and a lot of couch time together. Every pet has their own personality and routine, and I make it a priority to learn both quickly whether that's a specific feeding schedule, anxiety around thunderstorms, or just knowing when they want space versus cuddles. If you're looking for a sitter who treats your pet like a guest in their home rather than a job to get through, I'd love to meet you both.
