Availability
Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m used to planning around animals’ needs and keeping care consistent. For overnight house sitting, my weekday availability is typically Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM. That includes evening care, dinner, potty breaks or walks, medication, bedtime routines, overnight care, and morning care before I leave. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, I generally have more flexibility and can provide care throughout the day. For drop-in visits, my weekday availability is usually evenings, with more flexibility on weekends and holidays. I’ll always be upfront about my schedule before confirming a booking so we can make sure your pet’s routine and care needs are a good fit!

When I’m caring for pets in your home, I follow the routine, rules, and boundaries you set. I want your dog/cat to feel safe in their normal environment, so I do my best to keep things consistent with their usual schedule, comfort needs, and household expectations. I’m very respectful of your home. I follow home access instructions carefully, keep pet areas tidy, and treat your space with the same care I would want someone to show mine. I’m also happy to discuss reasonable home care tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and keeping pet areas clean. Before confirming a new booking, I prefer a meet & greet so we can go over your pet’s routine, personality, home access, emergency contacts, and anything else that would help you feel comfortable while you’re away.

Before caring for your furry friends, I like to know what normal looks like for them, their personality, eating habits, potty or litter box habits, and how they usually act when they’re comfortable, anxious, or just missing you. It’s also helpful to know what makes them feel safe, whether that’s a favorite toy, space at first, or extra reassurance during storms or loud noises. Please also share any medication, allergies, anxiety, triggers, escape risks, or little quirks I should know about. The small details really help me care for your pet in a way that feels familiar and safe!
A typical day
A typical day depends on your pet’s normal routine. I try to keep their day as close to what they’re used to as possible, whether that means meals at certain times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication, quiet time, or a specific bedtime routine. For dogs, I’m happy to include walks, playtime, enrichment, and calm companionship based on their energy level and comfort. For cats, I focus on feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime if they’re interested, and giving them space if that’s what they prefer. I’ll also send photo updates and check-ins so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for pets for several years and I know how personal it is to trust someone with your best friend(s) and your home. My goal is to make the experience feel calm, safe, and stress free for both you and them. I’m especially comfortable with overnight house sitting, multi-pet households, senior pets, oral medication, separated feeding or space routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience at first. I understand that every animal has their own personality, comfort level, and routine, so I try to follow your instructions as closely as possible. While you’re away, I’ll keep you updated with daily clear check-ins and photos so you never have to wonder how your furry family members are doing. I’ll also be honest if anything seems unusual, because I’d rather communicate early than leave you feeling unsure. I’ll also treat your home with respect! I keep things clean, follow the boundaries you set, and do my best to leave your space just as nice (or nicer!) than I found it.

I wanted to share how absolutely amazing Taje was. I was desperate for last-minute help with my elderly, blind, and deaf dog, as well as my elderly cat. I usually hate leaving them, but she came and stayed with them and completely put my worries aside, and I felt entirely comfortable knowing they were in her care. I could not recommend her more to take care of anyone's pets!
Taje was awesome — she was super responsive and our German Shepherd absolutely loved her.
Taje was so amazing caring for our three dogs for a week. She sent daily pictures and communicated as much or as little as we wanted every day. We had special circumstances where one dog had to be consistently separated from another, and she handled that special situation with professionalism and expertise. Our house was cleaner than we left it (amazing considering how much our dog sheds!), and we had not one worry while we were away. We plan to use Taje again anytime we leave our house in the future!!
Taje was the best pet caretaker I have ever had! She was great with the dogs, always keeping them busy when they wanted to play or kept them comfy when they were ready to be lazy for the day. She left our house squeaky clean just how we liked. Our dogs loved her! I would highly recommend her if you want the best pet sitter in town!
