I’m a full time student at DePaul but typically only have class 3 hours a day. I tend to be pretty open and flexible with scheduling as long as I can get a heads up on plans.

A year and a half ago, after almost 5 years of living without a dog in the home, I moved in with my boyfriend and his brother, who has a very sweet husky. The husky, Ripley, is a bit of a couch potato, but loves going on walks and trips to the park nearby at night! She goes out two or three times a day for roughly 20 minutes. For cats, I have a young kitty named Ladybug, who I feed and give her water twice a day at 9am and 5pm (or slightly different if I have class) and clean her litter box every other day. I have experience giving her liquid oral medicine as well as eye drops in the past.

In advance of meeting your pet, I would love to know of their boundaries and how they feel about new people (especially as someone that lives with a cat and a dog, I don’t want the smells to scare them!). I love to pet and cuddle dogs but always want to make sure that’s something they’re okay with first!
A typical day
I love to play games with dogs and if the weather permits, take them out to explore the neighborhood or any nearby parks! Once the walk is over and we’re back inside, I always let them know they did a good job with either a well deserved treat or pets!

I’ve been taking care of cats since old enough to read the numbers on measuring cups of food. I grew up with multiple cats in the house at all times and now that I live alone, I have a kitty of my own who is the light of my life. I’ve always been a cat person and can instantly bond with any new feline friend I make.
