Your Pet’s Home Away From Home
I am a huge animal lover who’s been fostering dogs since 2019, and cats longer than that. My home is set up perfectly for temporary care, both short and long term, with crates and various sizes and leashes of different lengths all tucked away for when they’re needed. I’ve fostered dogs of all sizes, puppies as young as 2 weeks that were bottle fed around the clock, plenty of young puppies that I house trained, and seniors that required daily medication administered and even wound care. Despite often being surrounded by dogs, I’m still the type of person to point out dogs and call out “puppy!” when I drive by one. I can’t wait to welcome your furry friend to my home!

As my first Rover experience, Tabitha surpassed every expectation and made the whole experience feel like Tazzy was visiting family. With my permission, Tazzy had another puppy play date in Tabitha's home, and as a result came back to us exhausted and very happy. As a nervous puppy Mom, her messages and photos were so calming. Tabitha has watched my dog many times, and she always takes such great care of him. He comes back happy every time, and he absolutely loves going back to see her. I was fortunate enough to meet Tabitha last year, when we both started post-secondary school at the University of Toronto Mississauga. In fact, we were roommates. Right from the beginning Tabitha expressed her love for all animals, including her three dogs that live back home in St. Thomas with her mother. Although we were busy with schoolwork throughout the year, Tabitha made successful efforts to head home and visit her canine friends, completing the two hour journey several times over (four hours round trip). Tabitha does not discriminate when it comes to dogs, loving every shape, size and condition with copious amounts of care. I have yet to meet a person who will willingly sit, lay or roll around on the floor with their animals for the simple fact that they truly enjoy doing so. I can say with the utmost confidence that Tabitha will be an amazing fit for the DogVacay team and will provide everyone's life companions with as much love and affection as she does her own dogs, ensuring they are truly cared for and appreciated while their owners are away.

Schedule
I work 100% from home, so I’m basically always home during the week. Any weekend plans of mine tend to be made in advance, and are often made with other pet friendly people!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard and my own senior dog to keep yours company! I have crates and beds of various sizes if your dog is crate trained, and also don’t mind having an extra dog to snuggle with overnight if not. My house is fully puppy-proof, with gates separating most rooms and all cords either hidden or monitored. For cats who may not be comfortable with other animals or just needs their own space, I have a spare room that I often used for foster cats- this room has cat trees, beds, litter boxes and more to keep your kitty entertained.

A typical day
I have plenty of dog toys to keep busy and live close to a lovely walking path! I’m also happy to bring them to any of the nearby dog parks.
