My girls are always in great hands with Tabitha!

I do not think Tabitha is the best choice for overnight in home sitter services due to her very busy schedule. I have considered writing this review since I was still on my 12 day trip which was my first time on Rover. When I signed up requesting a pet sitter, I included the cat's schedule for meals as well as that my new kitten could not be left alone over 4 hours. My start time for the house sitter was 830 am. I posted the cats are fed wet food three times a day 8, 12 and at bedtime. The day the car sitter was to start, I reached out around 8 am confirming she would be to my house soon. At this point, I was informed she would not arrive until after work around 1600. The first day, she did have her dad come by to feed the cats for their noon feeding. Within a few days of travel, I realized via my video alarm that Tabitha rarely was at my house regularly missing the times the cats would eat, let alone them getting much attention. I reached out to Tabitha once I saw this at which time find she told me she works 12 hour days full-time at one job and also another second job. This is on top of her pet Rover job. Daily she was gone 14 to 15 hours straight and even after returning to the house, she would leave a couple hours later. Based on the times she was at my house for cat sitting, Tabitha runs 24 hours a day with like 3 hours at a time home for sleep. I understand the need to work hard to earn money. But I was worried the whole time I was gone. When I returned, there was so much wet cat food left that it was obvious they were not fed as I had wrote for the cats schedules. In addition, the cat litter which are two automatic cleaning cat litter boxes were not emptied consistently. This was obvious as there was cat poop in multiple rooms which occurs if the litter isn't cleaned often as well as dirty cat litter behind the box which occurs when the automatic cat box emptying container overflows. There were other problems in my house which I had to deal with immediately after returning but it is what it is. I say all of this not to bash Tabitha. She obviously is working very hard which prevents her from being home often. However, I didn't pay for a stop in service but someone to take care of my pets on the schedule I submitted when I requested a sitter. So, if you are looking for a stop by sitter, I am sure Tabitha would be fine. She did respond via text. I just had multiple people say they could cover my travel pet sitting on Rover but since Tabitha was first and had good reviews, I selected her. As a person who loves her animals like family, I think it's wrong to take on a job when you know you have no possibly of being able to follow the request of the owner for times of feeding, attention or litter needs. If I was told beforehand she would not be here most of the time, I would not have selected her. I will probably not use Rover going forward.
