I have 2 kids, both school age, so that's definitely a factor. I believe to start off with I will mainly be doing drop in visits, play time etc. We have 4 small dogs in our home, 2 being a teacup puppies. So I would have to be very careful about any animals brought into my home, boarding for example. My schedule isnt fully open anymore as I do have a FT job, currently 7-3:30. If you're close to Elgin (10 mins or less) I can come for a visit during my lunch. It does change and I may not start until 2 or 3pm. lm still trying to get a feel for things and see how this all works out :)

I do not have a fenced in yard, but I live out in a rural area on 5 acres of land. So once I'm comfortable with your dog, and they can be trusted to, then we can have lots of fun playing. If a leash is needed (walks, no fence etc) then I can still run and play with them. Hopefully we can find an area around your home somewhere that's enclosed to play in. I'm not someone that's ever been a "dog park" type of person. There's a lot happening, so much excitement, and so much can go wrong. So I definitely won't be doing that with an animal that isn't mine. I prefer a harness, not a collar, and a fixed leash (prefer 6 ft), not a retractable one. Collars lead to so many issues with the esophagus/ throat, and retractable leashes are not always reliable.
Information Tabetha T. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of medical history/conditions or medications. Even if I will never touch said medicine, it's important for me to know what your pet is taking and why. Your pet may behave very different with you than with me. Just like children. With that being said, I'd still like to know how your babies act while at home, playing/walking etc. "My dog is constantly watching everyone" "My dog gets nervous, or their hair stands up, when other people/animals get close." Even if you have a sweet dog that has never growled/bit anyone, its good to know the normal behaviors so I have the most information possible. Include any information you think I'd need/like to know. Good or bad behaviors. The more I know the better prepared I can be, and the faster we can bond and play!
A typical day
This is different for each animal depending on age, their needs, etc. So for younger energetic pets, we can play with all the toys! I'm also fine hanging out, giving lots of lovings, and going for the shorter leisurely stroll for those who just want to go potty!

I may be new to Rover BUT ....
Pet care experience
I'm not new to animals! I'm (technically 😑) in my mid 30's, I'm an Army Vet, and I love ALL animals (even reptiles!). My family has had animals since the day I was born. At some point it turned into a farm. Horses, goats, cats, dogs, reptiles! I have given medical care to many different species.. from drawing blood from horses and IV medications to horses and dogs. I have a snake named Pascale (kids, ha) he is a pied ball python. He actually had to have surgery a few years ago and we went thru multiple rounds of antibiotics before and after the surgery, all of which were injections. I have owned 3 dogs, 2 of which I raised from puppies until they were old ladies. Just a little over a year ago I lost my 13 yo blue Pitbull, Luna. I had her since I was 19, and it's been really hard without her. I'm honestly not quite ready to have another dog yet, but I do love loving on everyone else's pets! Including family pets, I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and medications etc. I also help friends/ family with training. From simple commands like "sit" and "down" to crate training and more. I am not a professional or certified, but I do have knowledge and experience with each as stated. Thanks for considering me with your furbabies 😊

Outstanding as always! I really appreciate the extra care you put into clean up and organization! Thanks again!

My sitter cancelled on me last minute, which left me in a bind and worried that i could not find another sitter, Rover and Tabetha came through in a pinch. My dog is a high-energy 2 year old untrained Pit/ lab mix. I have a hard time handling him myself, so i was worried about it being a match. We also had some other last minute things which were already planned and Tabetha went out of her way to make sure she met and could work with my dog. She went above and beyond by training him as well as cleaning up after him and making sure he got plenty of exercise while we were gone! Thank you to Rover for helping us find an amazing sitter and to Tabetha for taking such good care of our dog!
I have known Tabetha for almost her entire life. She is very sweet and caring, especially with animals. She is the go to "nurse" in the family, same as with electronics. :) You and your pets will love her!
