Pet care experience
Here for Pets & New Adventures
I’ve spent years training and living with dogs, including strong-willed and independent breeds such as Huskies and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Those experiences have taught me that there isn’t one training method or approach that works for every animal. What works for one dog may completely miss the mark with another. What I’ve learned is that the key is understanding the individual animal—its personality, communication style, energy level, boundaries, and what makes it feel confident and secure. My goal isn’t to change an animal into something it isn’t, but to find the approach that allows it to thrive within its own environment and alongside its family’s routines. I think that perspective is what makes me different as a sitter. I’m observant, patient, and comfortable adapting to each pet rather than expecting every pet to adapt to me. I also understand that caring for a home is part of caring for the animals who live there. I respect their routines, their space, and their home, and I take pride in leaving things clean, secure, and well cared for. Ultimately, I want owners to feel confident that while they’re away, their pets are not simply being watched—they’re being genuinely understood and cared for.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I’m naturally respectful, tidy, and attentive, and I understand that house sitting is about more than simply being there. I’ll treat your home with care, keep things clean and secure, and make sure it continues to feel lived in and well looked after. Combined with my experience caring for animals, I’m able to give both your pets and your home the attention they deserve while you’re away.
Ratings and reviews
Syleste was wonderful! She went above and beyond for “Murphy” while we were away. We will definitely ask her to take care of him again in the future!

First Class!!!

Syleste is absolutely amazing with our pups! She takes wonderful care of them and treats them as if they were her own. It’s great to have someone we trust so much to care for them when we are away. Huxley spends one day a week with Syleste for doggie daycare. He gets so excited when we pull in her driveway and comes home tired, we couldn’t be happier!
Syleste was great with our dogs and cat! They absolutely love her! Always kind and taking extra precautions to ensure that our pets are cared for. Our cat was even welcoming when we returned home from vacation; it was as if we had never left him.
We were traveling on vacation and needed to leave our Rosie with someone in williamsburgh area. Syleste had good reviews so we chose her. Her communication was great start to finish. She has a lovely clean home on a quiet street with a fenced yard. We received numerous photos of Rosie over her 2 day stay with Syleste. Upon pickup of our Rosie she provided a detailed report of how Rosie behaved, ate, slept and played. I would highly recommend Syleste to anyone looking for a pet sitter in the Williamsburgh area!
Syleste was absolutely wonderful. She was great about communication from beginning to the end and I felt confident that our pup would be safe. She went above and beyond with our dog and even stayed up with him ALL night when he was too anxious to sleep. I can't thank her enough and would highly recommend her to anyone! I loved their backyard and it was a treat for our dog to have so much space.

Schedule
After relocating to Utah, I’m currently working part time, which gives me a flexible schedule and the opportunity to spend more time doing something I truly enjoy, being around animals. I’ve always loved having animals as part of my daily life, and I’ve realized how much I miss that connection. Pet sitting feels like a wonderful way to bring that back while also helping other people feel confident that their pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re away. I genuinely enjoy being there for animals, whether that means a long walk, some playtime, extra cuddles, or simply keeping them company. I love helping others with their pets because I know how important they are to their families, and I treat that responsibility with the same care and respect I would want for my own.

- Before your trip, I’d love to know a few important things about your pet: • Does your pet have any history of aggression, anxiety, fear, resource guarding, or reactivity toward people or other animals? • Are there any dietary restrictions, food allergies, medications, or special feeding instructions? Do they follow a raw or specific diet? • What is their normal daily routine for meals, walks, exercise, playtime, and sleep? • Are there any behaviors, triggers, or quirks I should be aware of? • How do they typically do when left alone, and how long are they comfortable being alone? • Are they allowed on furniture or in certain areas of the home? • What commands, training cues, or boundaries are important to maintain while you’re away? • Who is their veterinarian, and what should I do in case of an emergency? • Is there anything else about your pet or home that you think would help me provide the best care possible? My goal is to understand your pet as much as possible before you leave so I can keep their routine familiar and make their time with me as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
