Safety, trust & environment
I currently live with a friendly 100+ lb pit mix, so I provide care in the client’s home, including dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and puppy care. I believe dogs are most comfortable in their own environment, and I prioritize keeping their routine consistent and low-stress. I always take time to meet a dog beforehand when possible so they can get comfortable with me and I can learn their needs and personality. I approach each dog calmly and respectfully, allowing them to set the pace when building trust.

Pet care experience
I have cared for dogs my entire life, with extensive experience handling large breeds. I grew up with a German Shepherd, helped care for a 75 lb pit mix who required two knee surgeries and rehabilitation, and as an adult I adopted, raised, and trained my own lab–pit mix. I currently help care for a 100+ lb pit bull mix, so I am very comfortable with strong, high-energy dogs. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and puppy care, and I am especially experienced with dogs who need extra patience and attention. My own dog has significant anxiety during thunderstorms, so I am very familiar with comforting fearful dogs, recognizing stress signals, and creating a calm, safe environment when they are overwhelmed. I also have experience with post-surgery care, mobility limitations, and building trust with anxious or rescue dogs. I take a patient, attentive approach and adjust to each dog’s needs rather than expecting them to adjust to me. For example, I recently came across a lost dog who was shaking in the middle of the road. By staying calm, giving her space, and letting her approach at her own pace, I was able to gain her trust quickly, secure her safely, and contact her owner. I stayed with her until she was reunited, and she was calm and comfortable by the time her owner arrived. I prioritize safety, clear communication, and making sure each dog feels secure and cared for.
Reviews

Sydney stayed at our house over a weekend. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs! She followed instructions perfectly and made sure one of our dogs took his meds. I highly recommend her.
