Pet care experience

Your pup can be part of the pack!

Your dog is like your child. When you are away, I want to assist you in making him/her feel as comfortable as possible (not to mention easing your mind as well). I can keep your set routines as well as provide personal attention to your fur baby! Walking, pottying, playing, and even giving your pet its medication are all included, not to mention following your regular feeding schedule. I am available for short or long term stays. If your pet has a vet appointment, I am more than happy to take him/her and report everything back to you. Due to previous experience, I will only take animals that have been spayed/neutered unless of course they are too young for the procedure. About this sitter: Your dog is like your child. When you are away, I want to assist you in making him/her feel as comfortable as possible (not to mention easing your mind as well). By coming to you, I can keep your set routines as well as provide personal attention to your fur baby! Walking, pottying, playing, and even giving your pet its medication can be done from the comfort of your home. I am available for short or long term stays. If your pet has a vet appointment, I am more than happy to take them and report everything back to you. Due to previous experience, I would prefer only animals that have been spayed/neutered unless of course they are too young for the procedure. Besides caring for my own pets, I have watched other people's pets in their home environment since I was in college. Some have needed medication given at specific times. Others have needed help walking down stairs to potty outside. One was epileptic and another had MRSA. Ms. Hunny even required regular vet visits. In that case, I report any and all information back to you and follow the vet's instructions. While I am not a vet tech, I am very sensitive to your pet's needs and will take extremely good care of your love while you are away. Why I love dog sitting When I was young, our family only had cats. The dogs in the neighborhood, no matter the size, would scare me on our family walks. One day, a neighbor that knew my grandmother rescued a little dog named Harley and couldn't find his owner. I went down the street to meet this lost pup and literally fell in love. Harley was a wonderfully smart and spunky Yorkie. At first he was as scared of me as I was of him. When we both realized it, we became friends instead! Once I had my own dog, I realized that other dogs were not really scary. I had just never taken the time to know them. Now I can see the personality in each dog, big or small. It's really amazing how I went from being so afraid of dogs that I would shake to loving dogs so much that I want to love on other people's pooches!! My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication. Just let me know the details (what kind, how much, when, and any other special instructions), and I'll take care of it. I'll even keep a log for you.

Sydney did a fantastic job caring for my fur baby. We were out of the country for a long time and I received daily updates and pictures. It was such a relief having someone care for my baby as Sydney did. I would highly recommend her for your fur baby!

Sydney has been a wonderful dog sitter for Fendi! She sent regular updates, which gave us so much peace of mind, and made sure Fendi felt comfortable while adjusting to being around new dogs. It was clear she genuinely cared for her. We highly recommend Sydney!

Doggy Day Care • Jul 02, 2026

Sydney was the absolute best with our little cockapoo baby, Lia. I was nervous coming from NY, not knowing anyone in the area. She reassured me Lia would be in great hands and did not disappoint. She gave her walks (they saw dolphins 🥰), potty breaks, helped our Lia become comfortable around another pup and new surrounding. Checked in and sent pics throughout the day. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend her. Lia will definitely be back to visit ❤️ thank you so much Sydney

We had some hesitations about using Rover given some of the extra care our English Bulldog needs but we were blown away by Sydney. She took care of George like like he was her own dog. The daily text photos and updates helped ease any worries we had while traveling. Highly recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

I try to care for all pets as if they were my own. I want to give them plenty of love, exercise, and attention. Making them as comfortable as possible is also at the top of my list.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog Since you are gone, it is my job to be there! If I have errands to run, I will make sure to walk your dog in between those times. In the past, I have rarely left a house when dog sitting unless the dog is coming with me to the park or I have a quick trip to church or the store. Extra house-sitting services Definitely. Small things like bringing in the newspaper/mail are easily included in the price of pet sitting. If you would like me to do the laundry, go grocery shopping and prep meals for your return, or help with other tasks that would help you while you are away, just let me know. I love helping, and we can discuss tasks/price further.

Honestly, I want to know what you think is most important about your dog. Here are a few of the questions that run through my mind when I am pet sitting. When you feed/water your dog and how much? Is it spayed/neutered? Is it up to date on shots? Are there any medical conditions that I need to be aware of? Is it on medications? If so, what kind, how much, and when should I administer it? Where is your dog's vet located? Does it have any idiosyncrasies that I should know? (for instance, my little Harley didn't like feet. He loved people, but did not want a foot near his body or he would go ballistic and try to bite you. Poor thing, I can only imagine what happened to him before I got him.) Are there any vet appointments that I should attend with your dog? What is your dog's normal routine for day and night? Are there places the dog is not allowed to go? Where should I place your pup's poo? Can we go on a walk or to the dog park? This list is just some examples! I love all dogs. However, larger dogs that are aggressive are just not up my alley. For instance, if your dog is meant to be a guard dog versus a family pet/part of the family, I might not be the sitter for you.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
