Hello! My name is Sydney. I gained a variety of pet care experience while living on a farm in Kansas, working at a veterinary hospital for four years and dog sitting for years prior. I have a sweet, docile older pup of my own who lays around and gets along with everyone. Especially my two cats! She just loves making friends. However, depending on client’s preferences I also have the space in my home to comfortably separate their pets from any combination of mine depending on your/your pet’s comfort level. My home allows for walking opportunities at the Monte Sano Land Trust as well as Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve, and a fenced in dog yard to play in. My goal is to provide the most knowledgeable and experienced service possible for dog owners like myself who want to take great care of their pets!

Sydney did a great job caring for Cooper. He is an anxious old man and she made sure he had enough space to be by himself if he wanted to. I loved the pictures and updates throughout his stay with her. She is so friendly and would definitely book with her again !
Sydney took great care of Clark for us. She provided updates and communicated, he came home a tired and happy boy.
Sidney takes such good care of Charlie, it gives us peace of mind. He gets plenty of outdoor time in her big back yard and he enjoys the company of her dog. We will definitely check with her first the next time we have to board Charlie!
Sydney did an amazing job with our anxious pup! She went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and that all her needs were met. The regular updates with videos and pictures put our minds at ease while we were away. Would definitely recommend!
Sidney provided a great experience for Charlie and for us. Her house and fenced-in yard are ideal for dogs. Her dog, Pearl, is very relaxed and is a great companion for dogs of all sorts of temperaments. Charlie got plenty of outdoor playtime and even enjoyed wading in the doggie pool. We especially appreciated the fact that Sidney creates a SAFE environment for counter surfers like our dog. The updates and photos we got gave us the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. Sidney is a great communicator and listener. I could tell that she completely understood everything I told her about Charlie and his quirks. We will definitely use her again in the future.
Sydney is fantastic! She cared for my rambunctious puppy with poise and calm understanding. She was thoughtful and experienced in handling my youngster. Great experience, peace of mind and definitely recommend her.

I work from home all of the time and have a very flexible schedule. I already keep track of my own pets and have the space to do so with much more.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is of the utmost concern to me for your pets. I will most likely never mix two families’ pets together in my home in a boarding situation as I wouldn’t be able to properly vet the two animals together prior to them being in my home. My dog is a scavenger and she’s done a really great job of forcing me to dog-proof this place so there’s absolutely nothing to possibly get into. Like I mentioned in my bio, I do have the space available to prevent any interaction between a client’s dog and mine if they feel that would be a risk at all, or if I sensed at any point that it would be. They don’t get a kennel, they get a whole spare bedroom and the living room! And just take turns in the yard. I’m willing to go to lengths to ensure clients feel comfortable with the safety of their animal in my home.
Pets
A typical day
My home is very close to Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve. If that isn't your pup's cup of tea, I used to live on Monte Sano and my dog and I have discovered the best hiking trails for a reasonable amount of exercise. If they're high energy, I'll take them on a short run! As I'm trained as a veterinary technician I'm constantly looking out for the safety of your dog in these situations and won't overexercise or dehydrate your pet. My gets hot easily because of her breed and has some joint issues, so I pay close attention to those things. If anything like that is a concern for you please let me know!
