Pet care experience

I've worked at a doggy daycare!

I've had dogs growing up, five of them being German shepherds and the other four being a lab and two mutts and a dachshund, and we've had tons of cats. We currently have two German shepherds and I walk them a ton and I spend a lot of time taking care of them, and then we have a dachshund who I just rescued from the place I work at. The place I worked at does dog boarding/daycare/training. I was a kennel tech so I just took care of all the boarding and daycare doggies. And on the weekends I also took care of all the training dogs when/if the trainers were away. I worked there for over year and loved it, only leaving because I started college and moved away. I have had to deal with so many different dogs and their personalities and I've definitely learned to have a ton of patience with the job. I have been working in general since I was 14. I started at some neighbouring farms, doing farm work so I could ride their horses and earn some money. I then did a couple restaurant jobs and then found the place I currently work at. I have done dog sitting and cat sitting before many times, sometimes for family or friends of family who I don't know but I am happy to help out. The most I have dealt with at one time was seven dogs in total. I have watched people's dogs get trained while at work and I have been trained to use an e-collar and a prong collar so I am able to use those correctly! I really loves my job, it means a lot to me I get to be in that environment and I'm depended on to keep them all safe and happy. And I am a second year student at Muskingum University, I am majoring in Animal Studies in hopes of having an animal conservation related job.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Sydney! My Bernedoodle, Bailey, is very nervous around strangers and usually takes a long time to trust anyone new. But Sydney approached her with so much patience, gentleness, and understanding that Bailey felt safe far sooner than I ever expected. Seeing my shy girl relax, open up, and even show affection was truly heartwarming. Sydney didn’t just care for Bailey—she handled our entire pack beautifully: 🐾 Cash, my 150-lb Lab with a whole lot of personality 🐾 Cece, my sweet little Shih Tzu who lives for cuddles 🐾 Belle, my tiny 6-lb Yorkie with a big attitude and an even bigger heart Each of them has completely different needs and quirks, and Sydney managed them all with ease. Sydney gave Cash the attention and structure he needs, made sure Cece got all her snuggles, and kept little Belle happy and comfortable. And through it all, she was incredibly patient with Bailey, giving her the space and reassurance she needed to feel secure. She kept me updated with messages and photos, and every single one showed calm, happy dogs who clearly felt loved and cared for. If you have multiple dogs, anxious dogs, or dogs with big personalities, Sydney is the sitter you want. I’m so grateful for the exceptional care she gave to Bailey, Cash, Cece, and Belle. We will absolutely be booking with her again! 💙🐾

We have had more “meh” experiences in the past with house/dog sitters. It has made me really not want to travel because of the anxiety leaving them creates. Sydney’s stay and care she provided to our 4 furkids has renewed my faith in people. A few days before we left, she visited and I shown her around, she met our bunch. She was prompt getting to our home after we left. Her & I texted off & on over the course of the 4 days we were away. She sent photos & videos ❤️🐶❤️ And she was present with them the vast majority of the entire stay. We returned to a clean & tidy home and best of all - 4 happy , yet chill furkids. They were excited to see us but obviously received wonderful attention the entire time. I would highly recommend Sydney and I’m excited to get another getaway on our calendar soon ❤️
