Pet care experience
Experienced animal care taker/lover
I have owned and been around dogs and cats my entire life. Currently, I have experience with owning and taking care of dogs, cats, and reptiles. I can help you with any dog/pet walking and sitting! I do have a smaller frame, but I assure you I can handle your bigger dog! I have lots of experience caring for and walking bigger breeds (even if they pull, as long as they are not out of control), and I am more than capable to do so. When I house-sit your pet(s), I will be patient when needed and give them love the entire time. If they are misbehaving, I can definitely handle them as I will use a hard firmer voice that conveys they need to behave appropriately. Another method is I will firmly pet your pet(s) in order to help under-stimulate certain behaviors. Once they listen and start behaving appropriately (with assurance they will not revert back to misbehaving right away) I will reward them with a treat (unless instructed to give no treats) and also praise them for listening and behaving well. I am not talking about aggressive dogs. If you let me know about dog aggression and behaviors at your inquiry and the meet and greet, as long as the dog does not make me uncomfortable, I am usually comfortable caring for dogs with aggression issues. If your dog has a history of biting I will not sit for you. Playing is one of a dog and cats (+animals!) favorite activities, which I will definitely initiate and participate in whenever they’d like when I am pet/house-sitting and during drop-ins! I will not walk your dog at a drop-in, if you do not have a backyard / live in an apartment, I will take your dog out on a harness and leash to go to the bathroom. Unless you pay for a walk, a walk will not be provided. My pet/house-sitting services do include a walk, but only ONE a day, only if requested and they are a part of the dogs routine (I have other clients, so I am unable to fit in more than one walk a day per client). I will NOT walk your animal(s) in 75°F+ weather, if it is too hot for me, it is too hot for your pet(s). This is not negotiable as your pets safety is my main priority. I have lots of experience with medical care (personal, I give myself shots a couple times a year, and have had health issues all my life), so I am very comfortable with giving your pet(s) injections, pills, or any other medications whenever they need. You must list all animals that will be at the sitting, regardless of how minimal their care is / may seem, even if they’re “self-sufficient cats”. If a booking needs to be modified less than 7 days before the start of the booking, or during a booking, then you will not receive a refund. By booking with me, you agree to all of my policies. Thank you, I look forward to working and caring for any and all animals!

Safety, trust & environment
I will be sure to keep all pets on their regular feeding schedule, I know how important it is for all animals. This includes keeping their water bowl(s) full when I am pet/house-sitting, dropping-in, or taking your pet for a walk. Water will also be provided on/or after walks and I will provide your pets with regular exercise and playtime when sitting. I always do my best to make dogs feel comfortable and stress-free while I care, play, and watch them. Sometimes this includes giving them lots pets, giving them hugs, playing, and even cuddling.
Ratings and reviews
Sydney took amazing care of our girl while staying at our home. We appreciate how dedicated she is to our schedule and keeping the routine throughout her stay. We will definitely have her again!

Sydney did a FABULOUS job taking care of the boys and the house! I highly recommend her!

As always, Sydney went the extra mile! Thank you!!

Sydney is the best! She shows on time, cleans up the house, and my dog loves her. Cant ask for more.

My dog is quirky and a little cranky, but she loves Sydney and the photos don't lie. My house might be in better shape than when I left it. If you want what's best for your dog, there's simply no alternative.

Our dogs had another great stay with Sydney! Great communication, lots of photos, and she left our house exactly as it was when we left. Would absolutely recommend!

Schedule
I have been pursuing pet-care since October of 2023. This is my main passion at the moment and I stay full-time at my clients houses (besides short errands), however I do plan on finding a 9-5 at some point to help fully support myself. I would appreciate an advanced notice with any needed walking, sitting, or drop-in visits due to healthcare appointments, but is not necessarily required. Please keep this in mind, but these appointments will be noted on my calendar and will not interfere with my pet care. I will let you know if I happen to have an appointment during the time of a booked pet/house-sitting / possible booking. Again, I am not currently looking for employment elsewhere, pet care is my main focus and I plan on continuing with this path. Keep in mind, I will leave during house-sittings if needed and I do have other clients. A fun-fact about me is that I am also a knitter, which I spend a lot of my free-time pursuing :)
