Pet care experience
Currently unavailable for services
Update: I am currently unavailable for all services due to a new full-time job. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients! I am a trained art therapist, and an experienced pet owner of 14 years. I raised and socialized a puppy who grew into a lovely and well adjusted adult dog, and a rescue dog who arrived with a challenging past and ultimately experienced safety, love, and positive attachment in my home. I absolutely love animals and feel that they add so much joy and laughter to one’s life. I relocated to San Diego in 2024 with my fiancé, and I am excited to meet your pets for walks, drop ins, or boarding! 💕

I love when Sydney walks Maggie - she takes good pictures and has a fun description of the walk that I love to read when I miss my pup. 😀

Sydney is the BEST!

Sydney is awesome! Highly recommend her.

Sydney always does a great job and is very professional and reliable, I highly recommend her!

Sydney is very professional and great to work with, she is very knowledgeable on pet care and I would highly recommend her for anyone needing care for their pets!

Sydney took wonderful care of my dog, Daisy, while I was out of town. She sent thoughtful updates and plenty of photos, which gave me peace of mind that Daisy was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Daisy came home relaxed and content, which says it all! I really appreciated Sydney’s clear communication and kindness throughout the stay. I’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.

Schedule
Update: I am currently unavailable for all services due to a new full-time job. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients! I am typically in and out of my home throughout the day between scheduled appointments. I offer walks and drop-ins, and I can provide short-term boarding for small to medium-sized dogs who are fully house trained to go potty outside (and hold their bladder 8+ hours overnight), can be left on their own for 4 hours at a time while I care for other pets, and do not need to sleep in my bed. I also provide cat sitting services through drop-ins. Please drop off your dog for boarding at my home, and kindly ensure that they have recently been bathed prior to boarding! Please provide familiar items when boarding for all of your pets’ needs, and to ensure the transition is as comfortable as possible for them: food, bowls, toys, bed, treats, medications, etc. For anxious pets, consider leaving a clothing item that smells like you to bridge the separation gap, and/or calming medications/supplements if this has worked well for your pet. Boarding will not be a good fit if your pet cannot be comfortable on their own for up to 4 hours at a time.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a quiet, clean, comfortable apartment in a walkable, safe neighborhood. I do not currently have any pets of my own. My home is smoke-free, and I am located very close to a large, pleasant park.
A typical day
I love to attend to all of your pet's needs. A typical day for your dog will include a few short potty breaks and a longer walk in the neighborhood or local park, where we will enjoy being outdoors together. I will make sure your pet is fed according to their schedule, and any oral medication/supplements are administered if needed. I will provide lots of cuddles, play, and love throughout the day and as we wind down in the evening on the couch together.
