Safety, trust & environment

Right now I am only opening my services for cats, due to limited availability. I spend the first check in establishing trust with your little ones, I spent many years in animal shelters and have owned rescue cats so know how to read body language and approach them in a way that makes them feel safe!

Information Sydney P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about there general temperament in advance so I can come prepared. Also any commands or daily jargon you use so I can try and maintain that ritual for them and how many treats I’m allowed to give them :) I also am happy to and have administered medication for clients before! Just ask!

A typical day

I love to try and stimulate them with play time while I’m there, and will spend the first half of the visit in motion (filling their food, cleaning litter box, and active play time). The second half I prefer to settle in and give them comfort and affection. For the shyer ones I locate them and then read from my kindle in a soft voice near them until they feel comfortable enough to approach me.

Pet care experience

I grew up with several dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits. I spent all my high school years volunteering at the local animal shelter in addition to watching various neighbors and friends pets while they were on vacation. I also worked at a doggy daycare one summer in college. I have owned my dog Abbie since June of 2020 and am her primary caregiver. I have always had a passion for animals and know the peace of mind it brings you to know yours are safe and comfortable!

Sydney did a great job caring for our 2 cats. They are both senior pets with some quirks due to the normal aging process. I was glad I could leave them in Sydney's expert care for a weekend. I'll definitely book Sydney again soon!
