I presently own my own home-based business, so generally speaking I can be flexible on timing for check-ins and other care. If I need to be unavailable due to a client delivery or pickup, I will let you know in advance so that we can work out the best schedule for your pets.

I care for your pet the way you would! I am big on giving the pets snuggles and lots of “good boy/girl!” If you have a fenced yard and usually let your pet run around in the yard, I’m happy to do that, or take him/her on walks as needed.

I like to know if the dog is friendly toward other dogs, in the event that we come across another dog while walking, if the dog is leash-trained, if he or she has any fears (such as cars passing on the street, loud noises, etc), if s/he is likely to try to chase after cars or other animals, and if s/he is crate trained. I also always ask for vet information! Any dietary or medication requirements is good to know as well.
A typical day
If there’s a park near your home I’m happy to take your dog on a walk there. If you’re comfortable with me driving your canine baby, I can drive them to a dog park or a larger public park so we can run and play there. Also happy to walk around the city or just around your neighborhood.

Hi there, and thanks for stopping by! My name is Sydney and I have been housesitting and pet sitting since I was 15 years old (more than half my life!). I have a special place in my heart for big dogs, and I love to snuggle with your pets on the couch. I’m pretty flexible when it comes to needs for your pet, so just let me know what you need and I’m happy to accommodate. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for: - birds - chickens - horses - Angora goats - alpacas - tortoises - rabbits - salt and freshwater fish - chinchillas - livestock guardian dogs I also have experience with special needs, seniors, and medically sensitive pets. I love animals of all sorts (snakes and spiders freak me out though), so if you have questions about whether I’d be a good fit for you and your pet, please feel free to ask!
