In addition to my life of loving, respecting, and caring for animals in my community, I've also worked as a Veterinary Assistant. I have experience assisting Technicians and Veterinarians in running an Animal Hospital that serves about 25+ small animals per day. I've worked individually and with my team to do anything from a nail trim to a blood draw, to monitoring vitals during surgery, and fostering a calm secure environment while doing so. I've maintained a fear-free environment and prevented waiting-area conflicts between patients while at the front desk completing clerical duties. Now I'm currently caring for some of my former patients and clients with a diverse abilities and needs in the comfort of their homes.

I treat overnight stays like your furry friends favorite sleepover. I will be sure to maintain their daily routines promptly and thoroughly, sprinkle in some of their favorite things, and shower them in love to keep them distracted from missing you too much while you're away. As for my more shy friends, I will be sure to acts smoothly and calmly throughout the night. I will try to build their trust by bringing as much predictibility as possible in this unusual situation.

Sydney assisted our family with walking our dog Chloe while we were out of town. She was professional, communicated with us in a timely manner, and is a caring animal caregiver. Sydney is kind and gentle with animals, she has a calm and understanding way of engaging with them. She's very thoughtful and we're happy that Poppy is in good hands while we're away. My dog is not trusting and has some anxiety, and Sydney has been working with her on that, and she has calmed down a lot, even turning into butter with some head rubs. Sydney is also responsive, responsible, has a genuine love of animals and just all around a great person who brings positive vibes.
Sydney is an absolute gem! She has a background in both human and veterinary medicine which makes me feel safe to trust my pets under her care. As a woman who is slightly neurotic about my dog and her routines and diet, I had very specific instructions for the care of my dog. Sydney went above and beyond to fulfill the requirements, and I fully trust her. She is very kind and loving towards my dog and I highly recommend her for any pet care needs you have.
Sydney is a great caretaker for our 3 indoor cats and our 3 outdoor cats. She ensures that they are groomed regularly and that they exercise daily.

Schedule
I am applying to veterinary school and have a lot if flexibility with my schedule. Since I'm taking a break from working in hospitals and focusing on my academics, I would love to keep petcare as part of my routine, and I can adapt to your pet's routine.
