Pet care experience

One 🐶 Only • WFH • ❤️ Like Our Own

🌿 Thoughtful, One-on-One Dog Care, Like We’d Want for Our Own After over 10 years as devoted Alaskan Malamute parents, we said goodbye to our beloved fur baby last year. We realized we still have so much love, structure, and care to give. We started Rover to offer the kind of high-quality, calm, and attentive care we always hoped to find for our own dog. We understand how deeply personal it is to leave your dog in someone else’s care because we’ve been there ourselves. 🐶 Why We Aren't Your Average Rover - Exclusive Care: We host only one client at a time. Your dog gets our undivided attention - no juggling multiple packs. - Always Home: We work from home and coordinate schedules so your pup is never left alone. We even order grocery in when your pup stays with us. - Peaceful Environment: No kids and no other pets in the home, a calm space for your dog to relax. - Tons of Updates: Expect to be "spammed" with photos, updates, and a detailed end‑of‑day summary so you never have to wonder how they are doing. 🐾 Our Experience Goes Beyond the Basics Evan grew up with cats, Malamutes and mixed breeds, while Sydney was raised with a Maltese. We are comfortable with sizes ranging from toy pooch to gentle giants. We also have done drop-in care for our friends & neighbors' cats & dogs. We understand the importance of patient, predictable care, especially for older dogs or those who simply prefer a quieter pace. We’re also comfortable caring for large breeds and dogs who prefer humans over other dogs. 🏠 Important Note for New Client We require overnight guests to be fully crate-trained and comfortable sleeping downstairs in the living room. Since our bedroom is on the second floor, we are not the right fit for the pups who need to sleep in the bedroom or in bed with humans. This policy ensures your pup's safety, preventing slips, falls, and joint strain when going up and down the hardwood stairs or free-roaming in the dark unattended. We will start with overnight sleep in the crate/playpen. Once we’ve had a chance to get to know your pup and understand their temperament, many of our returning guests transition out of the crate unless that’s their preferred sleeping setup. Every stay begins with a required Meet & Greet to ensure a mutual fit. We want everyone - both humans and pups - to feel safe, comfortable, and confident before booking!

Sydney and Evan truly are incredible sitters. Luna came down with an illness while in their care this time and they were extremely communicative and helpful while we were out of town. They took her to her vet and made sure she got all the care she needed. It was so nice to not have to worry that Luna was being well taken care of while we were gone. They are truly amazing people.

Sydney & Evan took amazing care of our dog, Matilda! Matilda has some unique needs and they went out of their way to make sure she was happy and comfortable during her stay. They provided daily summaries of how things were going and sent pictures and videos as well, which helped us feel so relaxed while we were away! We will definitely be rebooking soon!

Where to begin! Sydney and Evan took great care of Luna during her entire stay. Their detailed communication went above and beyond our expectations. We also got multiple pictures and videos daily, which gave us something to look forward to while we were away. They gave Luna so much attention and care we were absolutely blown away. She got several walks every day and dedicated care. We will definitely use them again!

Sydney and Evan did such an amazing job watching my dog,Apollo. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great sitter. They were very attentive to all of Apollos needs and sent lots of pictures of playtime and walks with him. They were also very responsive to all of my questions I had throughout his stay and very accommodating when my flight was a little delayed. Apollo enjoyed his time very much and will definitely be my go to sitter for upcoming trips!

Safety, trust & environment

We intentionally limit care to one dog at a time so we can maintain the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort. 🏡 Our home is: - Calm and quiet - Kids free - Fenced-in yard with plenty of green space in the community - Cleaned professionally at least once a month to ensure a consistently fresh environment - Reset between stays so each dog arrives to a clean, stress-free space 📝 We follow your instructions closely, from feeding and walking schedules.

A typical day

📸 Throughout the day, we capture and send you tons of updates so you can see exactly how your dog is doing and enjoy the little moments along the way. Our goal is for your dog’s day to feel comfortable, familiar, and happy, like a day at home, just with extra love and attention. ☀️ We start the morning with a gentle walk to stretch, sniff, and take in the neighborhood, followed by breakfast and a relaxed settling-in period. Throughout the day, your dog will be right by our side, whether that’s napping nearby while we work from home, enjoying quiet companionship, or getting extra attention and cuddles. 🦮 Midday includes another walk or outdoor break, adjusted to your dog’s energy level. For more active dogs, this may include longer strolls along nearby trails; for senior or lower-energy pups, we focus on short but frequent walks so they can stretch and exercise the muscles. 🌙 In the afternoon and evening, we continue with playtime, and 1on1 attention, followed by dinner and a final walk to wind down the day. Evenings are typically relaxed, perfect for cuddles, quiet time, or simply being together.

📝 To provide the best and safest care possible, we like to learn a bit about your dog before their stay. During our required meet & greet, we’ll go over details such as: - Your dog’s daily routine (feeding times, walks) - Energy level and walking preferences - Any medical needs, medications, or mobility considerations - Comfort handling (paws, harness, towel drying, etc.) - Any anxieties, triggers, or fears (noises, strangers, other dogs) - Commands your dog responds to - Social preferences (people, or selective with other dogs) - Sleep arrangement (can he/she sleep in the crate by himself/herself) The more we know upfront, the more we can tailor care to help your dog feel relaxed.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
